But why would anyone downgrade their lovely Jag with BMW wheels ?

Lol well bbs are German and the colour of this coupe will be a Mercedes colour. A bit like flying a spitfire with a German cross on the fuselage biggrin
Seriously though if you want affordable bbs alloy wheels the 2 piece versions from a BMW are all over eBay. A concentric spacer to correct any offset and centre bore issues and they will look like they were bought for your car.

True. Back in the day my Paramount XKR was on a set of BBS too.

but the XJC really needs more wheel than gap.

I have sent them an email to ask
It has the series 3 dash that mine has
I like the rear headrests might do that but wonder what Jaguar they are from

Regular series 3 rear headrests. I have a pair waiting to be fitted to my coupe

If you get a reply, please post the cost. I'm curious.

Did you see this on the Lovely Cars thread? Different, but very nice.

Slightly over budget, but much nicer than the Montego everyone's salivating over. Wonderful colour.

Not far off!

They are selling "on behalf of a friend" hmm last time I enquired about a coupe they were doing the same

Too much for me.

The 'on behalf of...' is invariably mealy-mouthed guff and puts me off the vendor too.

The on behalf of thing is clearly a way of avoiding the commitments of a dealer and yes would make me wary too

Lovely car that but it's been up for grabs for at least a year... I've been keeping an eye on it!

Any idea why it hasn't gone? Price is a little high but it doesn't seem too bad.

It's probably been tidied up for the photos a long time ago and starting to look tired if still up for sale after a year or so. The front seat headrests look like the foam inside has gone as the covers are not holding there shape.
The red coupe reads well with original matching numbers engine and gearbox but with a series 3 dash and centre console? Personally I think a matching numbers car needs to be as per factory spec otherwise what's the point?

Far from original, but could be a decent project.

This is currently on eBay. More original parts for the purist than the v12 above

Think I would steer well clear of that, there's nothing good about it to be honest. Just saying!

cb1965 - I agree. Wasn't for me really, just thought there might be thread followers that were up for it. I prefer the red one linked to above but have not yet had a search for it.

Actually, I don't even know why I'm bothering because if I buy yet another car even I will think I'm daft, and that's normally territory left firmly to Madame deG. It's an obsession, an illness. I could probably qualify for a parking blue badge I have it so bad.

I think you should have an unveiling at Eastbourne Craig, when its all complete. Will make for a good run out with a legend of build to pore over
