Really? My brother bought a Vivaro for one of his (service engineer) staff as his new co vehicle a few years ago. ~60k miles on, still no issues. I guess there are "no issues" and "failures" noted with evey popular vehicle though.

It started whistling, few hours later a bang - then about 10k miles later it started doing exactly the same (loud whistle) but I sold it. 2016 sportive model, I think I was just unlucky. Otherwise it was a great vehicle, and for the money really good value. I would still recommend them.

Daft question, but when the mondeo first broke down you rented a (no doubtful hateful) taxi for a bit to keep working.

I'm curious why run two? I assume it's 2 x taxi registration fees, insurance etc etc. Do the economics really work? Can the Vx not just be both vehicles for you? Use it for the long haul stuff and the airport runs?

i'll add a couple of drivers to the vivaro and its a handy thing to have sitting round then, means anyone can jump on it and use it when needed,

that said it will more than pay for itself,
off to Manchester tommorow

Nice choice. Those renaults just go and go. Shame thay havent got the gearboxes licked yet but if you do get trouble i can recommend a brilliant place in baillieston to get it sorted.

I have the new 1.6 CDTi in a Astra K as a daily hack in 136 guise.

Its the best thing about the car, really refined thing and it shifts well.

That said that is a much bigger and less aerodynamic thing to attach it to.

Good luck!

Have they started fitting the renault engines to vauxhall cars now?
