Is the 'Vette on regular plates? I hate to think how much that must have cost the guy to buy, given the tax that would have been on your car.
The Vette bears German plates that are seasonal 04 (April) to 10 (October), meaning it can only go on the road in these months and is only taxed for these months.Car tax in Germany is way cheaper than in NL. Given this is a 6.2 or 7L (not sure if the one in the pic is a GrandSport or a Z06, US cars are not my cup of tea) engine road is still quite significant though.
German road tax is calculated based on engine size, Dutch road tax based on weight. In both countries Dieseasels get a quite heavy tax burden.
While the Dutch state takes great passion in punishing buyers of luxury cars with a nasty CO2 based tax upon initial registration/import into the NL there is no such thing as a luxury car tax in Germany.
Overall driving a Corvette in Germany should be way more enjoyable than in NL given no speed limits on motorways and much lower running costs (tax and petrol).
Still prefer living in NL though (as long as they don't make me go back to my fellow Krauties).

I'm not sure if it's an s550 thing or a euro mustang thing, but I could swear i've never seen an older mustang undersealed stateside. I never noticed it on mine, however where I live roads are not spread with grit during the winter.
As you descend into mustang ownership you will find other corners ford cut, no doubt. Luckily there is a solution for everything in the aftermarket.

Regarding the ford performance oil sep, there's plenty on US ebay. The x pipe I think will require a tuner like a bama tune device because it is in front of the cats. I'd check on 6g forum. Look up user aftermarketpros on ebay. The dude sells AM take off parts from their demo and show cars. Also steeda, shelby, roush have ebay outlets, some gear is heavily discounted and brand new.
