Another video from AutoTOP (well just a rehash of existing footage), but an interesting comparison nontheless, particularly due to the similar RRPs in the UK.

I suspect the Focus will thrash the Mustang everytime 0-60, due to the AWD and launch control.
However 100-200kph (60-120mph) the Focus takes around 14s, whereas the Mustang does it in 9s.
Admittedly mine has the bolt-on mods, would be interesting to see what a remapped Focus would do. I suspect 1-2s slower... but could easily eat my words!
MRR wheels in the US will be sponsoring my car. Yay! No, this really is very awesome. Exact specs to be confirmed, but theyll be shipping me a set of the new flow-forged M600 wheels. They are modelled from the new Ford GT wheels, but obviously designed for a direct fit to the Mustang.
They save around 3-4kg in unsprung mass per wheel over the std. 19" wheels im running now
There are very few pics of these on a car at the moment, they are too new.
and this is a render:
I feel a s550 gt, track pack, non UK spec, dry conditions above 40f, the mustang will smoke the focus from a dig. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20G5zDQTud0

... and the gerarbox issue should be fixed shortly.
I figured out that 1st and 2nd werent actually blocked, it was just that the shifter is coming too far to the left and missing the gate. So with a modified shifting style its OK for now, and Steeda have sent me a modified lock-out shift collar which should remedy the issue.
Very annoying to have to take the interior of the car back to pieces, but could be worse I suppose.
I have to say im a bit in two minds about the quality of the Steeda stuff. Its not the first issue ive had.
I don't think it's steeda, I think it's the mt82 remote mounted linkage.I figured out that 1st and 2nd werent actually blocked, it was just that the shifter is coming too far to the left and missing the gate. I've read other stories of different aftermarket shifters still not resolving the missed shifts, wrong gear and high rpm lock out.
The two main solutions have traditionally been the mgw shifter that replaces the whole unit and the blowfish racing support bracket.
Most of the professional racing mustangs have been upgradede to the mgw race spec shifter. So there is a solution but it may come at cost of increase of NVH.

That Blowfish does look good. Very good in fact.
Hmmmm. Decisions decisions!
The regular price for the blowfish is $250, at that price it is a bargain, however in my opinion if I was paying regular price for either the blowfish or the mgw I would choose the mgw. I am not sure both will work together, I have a feeling it won't.Hmmmm. Decisions decisions!
The wheel spacers and lowering springs have given the car a brilliant stance, it looks stupendous.
The paint looks fantastic too, it looks like there's hardly any orange peel? At least, far less than some modern cars!
Poor show on the paint guy bringing it for a spin, I guess you'll either know not to use him next time or at least let him know that it has a dashcam and you saw what he did previously.

GT350 inlet snorkel arrived from the US.
This connects the back of the Velossa Big Mouth to the inlet/cutout on the PMAS airbox. Last piece of the puzzle for the CAI side of things, apart from perhaps some heat proofing.
$26 part (reduced from $80).
$55 shipping
€26 import costs
Being outside the US makes things a bit bloody expensive sometimes!
Car is diagnosed today with a faulty clutch pedal sensor... should hopefully be fixed by tomorrow with a replacement part.
You should come here on holiday with empty suitcases and return with parts. Nothing to declare sir? Move along. This connects the back of the Velossa Big Mouth to the inlet/cutout on the PMAS airbox. Last piece of the puzzle for the CAI side of things, apart from perhaps some heat proofing.

I tried to get myself a GT350 wheel when I was in LV last June, but couldnt find anyone able to sell me one 'over the counter'. I was NY and New England in August and picked up a few small things from Levittown Ford, but there was no room for big stuff unfortunately.
How do you mean they would not sell you one over the counter? As in they had none in stock or they were acting like it was restricted for purchase?Do you have the Ford part number?

Yes, I couldnt find a dealer holding immediate stock in and around LV. No-one could help on the M6G forums either. It was either a couple of days lead-time (which didnt suit), or not willing to pre-order and/or deliver to a hotel.
It got too frustrating/complicated so I decided to dedicate myself to shooting guns and arsing about, which was the main priority for the trip
It's good to know you got your priorities right It got too frustrating/complicated so I decided to dedicate myself to shooting guns and arsing about, which was the main priority for the trip
Let me know if I can get you the gt350 wheel cheaper than what you will have to fork out. Cheapest I found was $350 on eBay (Ford dealer). Plus what ever postage is from me to you then whatever the EU decides to steal from you. Eitherway if I can help drop me an email.
What a great thread! Been catching up since yesterday and is by far my favorite thread I've read on here to date. I've seen a few in the flesh but never directly side on and I've definitely got a new found love for these since reading this. Looking forward to seeing the new wheels on the car!
That second picture..... wow!
Also slightly off topic but I've been to Amsterdam a few times and alongside all the trams and push bikes, every taxi driver seems to drive a Tesla! Are they just cheap for the drivers to use/buy because of the taxes you mentioned in previous posts or is there another reason to it? Just curious if you know!
