Evening,

A few pictures of my latest classic acquisition. A last of the line 93' Daimler Double Six on an L Plate. The Series 3 has always been one of the best looking cars ever made (in my humble opinion), whilst the temptation to lose my V12 cherry has been on the cards for the while. Hope you like the old girl - as always, constructive comments either way are welcome. And for anyone who's interested, censored

This will be a keeper, as I have been reliably informed that all further funds will be diverted to Baby B.J.W who is due in October. Still, I think I can be content with the garage remaining as it is for the next 21 years (and it's a better place to put money than the bank).

Fantastic, looks like a brand new car!

Looking out of my window, there are 3 x V8-engined steeds on my drive (and 2 of them are taxed, tested and in regular use!), superseding several more V8s previously, but I've yet to own (although have driven) a V12. With all this recent talk of older XJs and XJSs, the temptation is mounting!

I drove her this weekend ahead of shaking hands. It was an experience. The start up was memorable! I haven't had car emotions stirred like that for quite a while.

They do, and up to this point the owner of the business has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. It was worth the trip up to see some of the stock he has (the condition of the RR's beggars belief) I have a Benz itch that needs scratching and there was a lovely R129 S-24 just arrived which would have made a lovely daily. Unfortunately, I am now under a Game of Thrones style threat of death if I indulge further smash

Lovely

I have looked at this dealers stock before. Are their Jap imports really that nice?

Hello Nathan.

I thought the same as you....

And I bought one. It would be a £15-20,000 car at a Home Counties specialist. I've checked out UK cars - aside from the show cars, most have had rust/chassis/bodywork repairs.

Excellent ! I have two V12's, it's a grand engine, tame by todays standards but there's something very likeable about it.
I found the power to be better than I had expected...... But I'm more of a wafter than a hooner these days so it suits me down to the ground biggrin
