so what exactly is a stiener 450? what is under the bonnet? at least from my point of view that makes a big different to value. what power? what spec? lsd? brake upgrade? etc...

Looks a good useable beast..Fairly clean TBH...Not sure about the "Steiner" part...Its not too bad when they tag the engine like V8 D but badging the car...Errr ...nono..Its a TVR 350i Series 2 with a 400SE boot spoiler...400SE wheels...Must be a late C reg if its 1986...Looks like an earlier dash and glove box design...????..

Cheers for that, a bit of a mixed bag then, I agree with the Steiner logo on the door it just looked wrong! The guy started the car up and yes she's a beast alright. I thought I'd stumbled across something rare in the wedge world. For what she is it would have a huge smile factor but has a lot of paint fade in fact the bonnet looks a totally different colour of red. Could be avery nice car.

This same car was up for auction at Brightwells in October 2014. i went to see it but it didn't reach reserve and wasn't sold. Paintwork needed some attention - the bonnet was a completely different shade of red to the rest of the car..

So Neil, you making a offer as private or is it for sale at a garage ?

Value you ask, it seems i maybe not the best in giving advise, as told under sold mine laugh (never mind) but your C reg with engine work (done when), thought didn't sell at 4k at the auction....so 4.5k (a lot of wedge for your wedge)

At 5K its a bargain...Even if the outriggers need doing again...Take them silly badges off...That 450 one looks horrendous on the boot lid...Either a subtle 450i in gold or nothing at all..Not sure about those wheels although they look okay...Better with some real OZ split rims or lattice alloys.

If the engine has been maintained and not caned then it should be good for another 60,000+

The seats can be cleaned...Re-coloured...Sealed...The door divide covered in some of the vinyl wood effect or plain colour.

Clay bar the paint...

The engine looks clean and i would like to see a Dyno printout of the acclaimed 360bhp...A 5ltr just about makes 300...However whatever just buy it and enjoy it....smile

A bargain or rose tinted Zig...
Clay bar won't make two different shades of red the same.
Suggest a full respray to remove some of the other stuff as well may be the best in the long run

Are you expecting minty body work on a 5k tvr? Think it's good value

Hi mate...Its better than my paintwork and mine is valued at 5.5K as is...
Here is my boot lid and its not a shadow...Not sure WTF did it but its bloody awful.

She's got the pox...

Gave her a clean today but she needs the lacquer sorting, Hopefully once this weather has sorted itself out!
The roof police did pass on horse back and gave me a stern look but saw the cover ready to be put on so carried on about their business...smile

My bonnet is naturally two-tone...

Starts to get a bit scabby...And the door looks a different colour...

I still love the scabby horse...smile

C reg 350i... trailing arm? So 300bhp on t/arm, hilarious.

P155-poor decals, all that effort on the engine and couldn't find twenty quid for some markings that at least looked like they belonged on the car.

And people wonder why these cars have Arthur Daley prices.

A respray and some TLC and remove all the stiener stuff, and would be a very nice car.
