Nice little bonus - I just calculated my MPG from a recent tank of fuel on mixed roads, 27MPG!
The only annoying thing is the fuel counter is very pessimistic - I keep thinking the car is bone dry only to find it had another 12l in the tank, so I keep thinking the car has poor range. In reality 300 miles per tank should be easily achievable - not bad considering it is a relatively small tank at 60l.
MPG on cars of this price is hardly a deal-breaker, but its a nice thing to have and will probably be much appreciated on longer trips.

You're clearly not trying. I get about 18-24 mostly (b roads)The only annoying thing is the fuel counter is very pessimistic - I keep thinking the car is bone dry only to find it had another 12l in the tank, so I keep thinking the car has poor range. I have a pic of the dash readout somewhere will post it later. It was cruise control set at 70mph for about 2 hours. Usually I cruise at 80mpb and get about 34mpg. The long box has its advantages and suits me as the car is my daily.
Perhaps I have a different gearbox...Was rpm do you have at 70moh in 6th?

John, do you have the sports pack on your car? Sports pack and post 2011 cars came with the close ratio box as standard I believe. 1st and 2nd are unchanged, but 3-6 are quite different. The long box is geared for something like 250mph in top.
Yes fortunately I doI really like how it changes the throttle response

That's not correct. My car is a 2010 with sports pack. CR box standard on S models but came later as standard on n/a cars.In reality cr box only makes a small difference when pressing on, its not hard to keep the long box in the powerband

Thanks for the correct BlueG, the Sports pack had the CR box though didn't it? Or was it still an optional extra?
On Evora S but not on pre 2011 n/a sports pack cars. Mine is definitely long box but has all 3 packs. I was given the dates by lotus but can't find the email. As my car is my daily and I was ding several long trips a week the long box made sense so I checked with lotus.
These cars take the miles well, at 70k miles mine is still looking as good as it did at 30k miles, although gear knob leather has just started to wear through.
