Audi S3 black edition build
Discussion
Thought I would bore you all with the progress thread of my S3 build, having owned it for 9 months now,
Spec when purchased
18500 miles
Glacier white
Black edition
2 owners
Here she is standard,
I promised myself the car would stay standard, as I'm currently looking to buying my first property, however standard the car was very dull and boring, it felt like it was constantly going to roll over and lacked noise so this had to be sorted
First little mods...
R8 oil cap, black coolant and screen wash cap, much cleaner
Next up... Badges and carbon plates
Next.... Induction and more carbon
I opted for the forge twin take, this was down to the looks and I wanted a enclosed filter as not a fan of the noise a cone makes, also got a carbon engine cover for her, yes it's real
After pushing the car the more I realised just how refined it was, this needing sorting asap, I fitted a miltek cat back non res and opted for a set of H and R monotube coilovers, a massive improvement on both looks and capability round the bends.
After a few weeks, more power was required, I opted for a full live custom map, the car pulled a fantastic 281bhp with the above mods, and then after the map a very respectable 318bhp, the dsg box now needs remapping to match and I should have a fairly capable car, next up is a set of 6pots and poly bush the vehicle, then big turbo build for the winter.... And a re spray sepang blue

Noooooooooo Glacier is such a rare and beautiful colour, sometimes silver sometimes grey, depending on the lighting and angle
theres so many blue ones about already
and the mods sound great, +21bhp pre map especially, but be prepared to be flamed for the illegal font and spacing on that plate

So a few things happening to the little Audi, firstly although the better half doesn't believe me this 3inch down pipe and decat fell into my boot completes my full system miltek, will be fully wrapped before fitting
Speedline turini in Matt black coming next as my Alcons should be here in a couple of weeks
Dsg map booked in for 30th July, the back to mapper to sort flat spot in 3rd
Had full alignment done to make sure she is all straight,

Plates seem a sore spot for many people however I am a carbon we and there staying, as for exhuast, I won't keep miltek for long as want a bcs power valve system, I have a non res and wouldn't buy a res due to you can't even hear them, noise doesn't bother me really as it does a few thousands miles a year
