Oh dear. I guess the discos a fair bit heavier than the Jimny. Makes a cool picture though.

Another quality days offloading with Mr Skuzzle in the L200 and Roger in his green Jimmy. We we're joined by another chap Alex in his silver Jimmy.

Here's my pics and a little video.

Forgot to update this after the other weekend.

Went to another pay and play day with a couple of other Jimmy owners and had an absolute ball. This thing is just too much fun.

All cleaned up after:

This day killed my radiator as it filled with mud and when trying to clean it bent all the fins. A new one has been ordered and I think I'm going to have to treat the rad as a consumable. Only £45 though so not too bad.

I've also developed some bad clicking noises underneath which a google has suggested is related to the swing arm mountings working loose. One to investigate.

Finally the rear brakes are now goosed. They've filled with mud and no longer function at all. I could rebuild them but frankly it seems easier to do the rear disc conversion and although £250ish it'll save me money and time in brake rebuilds in the future.

MOT runs out on Oct 11th and as I have the Race Of Remembrance 1000km Endurance race in the Skuzzle Motorsport Turbo MX5 in November to do I suspect this poor thing will be neglected until December.

Going to get one tonight. It's only £400 so expectations aren't high, although it runs/drives and has 9 months MOT left.
Did you get it and is it any good?

Cracking thread Nick! Loving the photos, that's some serious fun on a budget. Wish I had the space/funds for something like this too.
Cheers, it is a right chuckle. Needs some TLC now but that will have to wait until December.

Best bet is eBay and gumtree. You want to look for ones that have not been off-roaded. It seems most of these that get bought and modified get treated very badly.

Look for one that's spent all its like pottering about town in 2wd. They are out there.

Also this is due an update.

I'd not used the Jimny since September and he MOT ran out in October. I've bought a rear disc conversion and a replacement Cat so hopefully with those fitted it should pass an MOT.

Hoping to be back on the road in a couple of weeks.
