Ever since i had the tyres fitted i had an inkling something wasn’t right, the car still drove straight and true but it just didn’t feel tied down an responsive as i’d remembered.

So booked into the local ATS for an Alignment check. Safe to say it was out a fair bit, so they did the Alignment and the drive home was definitely a marked improvement. I’ve not had a blast yet but i can already tell the steering it’s much more responsive and turn in seems sharper too!

Just shows that even if your car drives straight and true, chances are the Alignment can be out. It’s certainly something I’ll keep my eyes on!

Looking forward to the drive to work tonight lol.

Had the M.O.T done a few weeks ago, always a nervous time but it passed without any advisories but the tester did tell me my rear tyres are getting low and hand brake comes up quite high but not enough to warrant putting on the advise list.

Also this week I’ve booked it in for its Timing Belt, Aux Belt, Water Pump and coolant flush/change as it’s over due and i don’t fancy chancing it!

Also because the Auxiliary Belt has seen better days!

Can’t wait to give it a good blast out once it’s all done.

Few updates.

Had the Belts changed along with new Water-Pump and obviously a fresh Coolant change flush and change. I noticed straight away the that cars heaters get warmer quicker and are actually hot now! So that’s a plus.

Along with that i got a set of rear tyres fitted.

Went for some Nankang NS-20’s again as I’ve got a set on the front. They’re no Michelin Pilot Super Sports but still decent got a mid-range tyre.

The car was running fine and eating up daily duties fine, until last weekend when out on a spirited drive i noticed a knocking/clunking appear.

Turned out to be the ARB Drop Links. Cheap, quick and easy fix and the car is driving spot on again, I’ve had the A/C blasting away pretty much everyday since we’ve had this lovely hot weather and it’s been brilliant. *touch wood*

Jobs a good’un. I still Utterly adore this car.

Not far from 61k now on the VXR and it’s been reliable as ever *touch wood* but as ever it’s approaching it’s usual 10k service interval. So a few purchases were made.

- Wiper Blades
- Interior mats
- Oil & Oil Filter
- Gearbox Oil
- Air Filter
- Sump Plug
- Brembo Brake Pads

I promptly fitted the blades and interior mats,

Unfortunately Vauxhall don’t sell VXR ones anymore so i had to buy Corsa ones but they’re Genuine so it’s all good.

Lastly a few pictures from today after a quick blast.

Hoping to service the car and fits the pads soon.

Thanks smile

A few updates as the VXR fast approaches the 65k mark!

After it’s last service it was running fine and performing daily duties admirably until a few weeks ago when i started the notice that the car was pulling quite hard the left and generally driving like crap, quite simply over night which was strange.

I had an inkling it was probably the Track Rod Ends or Ball-Joints as they were original items and will have seen much better days.

So i bought 2x TRE’s & Wishbone-Arms and promptly fitted them.

^ Passenger Side

^ Drivers Side

I then got it booked into the local ATS from get it Tracked up/Alignment done. Sorted, it’s back to driving mint again, so i’am happy in that respect.

Oh and a few pictures from a good clean last week.

It still looks fantastic!

I've got quite a few jobs that i need/want doing as its starting to show its age/mileage in some areas. Will update in due course.

Thanks biggrin

Final few updates for this Corsa as I’ll be punting along within the next few days! Anyways,

Had 2x Kumho Ecsta PS71’s fitted a month or two ago along with some new from OEM Brembo Brake Pads.

Obviously a marked improvement but they’re a noisy tire!

Apart from that it’s continued to perform daily duties well and it continues to shine up rather well,

And finally the last picture I’ll probably take of it, wearing its last country road blast grime.

Thanks smile
