My First Hot Hatch - Suzuki Swift Sport
Discussion
Thread revival.
I did go for that exhaust upgrade mentioned above and fired a couple of fart cannons on the back. Remus rear silencer from CTC, smallest tailpipe they had at 90mm. Biggest was 108mm! Sounds good, little bit raspy and nice and smooth, especially at low revs.
Above before, below after.

Nice car. Been looking at these but swaying towards the Fiesta ST. What sort of mpg do you get on average? And is it easy enough to drive it daily at low revs?
Have driven both. To me the Swift felt very much more grown up/smart both exterior and interior wise. The Fiesta is just a bit more yobbish Both handle well but engines are a world apart, as you would expect (NA vs T). The Swift also does without any torque vectoring, etc. and is really an oldschool hatch in a good sense. But I guess for day to day driving the torquey nature of the Fiesta would be better and the Recaros are indeed sublime, if you fit in them. But do try both and see for yourself.chillbill said:

I'm currently in the process of measuring mine pump to pump so I'll let you know on my next fill up. Currently used half a tank at about 220 miles. First half always lasts longer than the second though....Great to see more people loving their Swifts! I did a week of touring Scotland with my driveclub and she kept up with some very powerful cars.. Very hard car to fault. CTC will remap them to approx 150bhp with supporting mods and gives a bit more mid range clout which I think it needs especially if like me you have come from a turbo car. TTS will do a supercharger conversion which takes it to around 210bhp but it's £4500!
Another Swift Sport owner here! I've had my white 62 plate since February this year. The most fun I've had driving a car for quite a few years! Consumption wise my display says I'm averaging 48.4mpg, but my route to work is 80% dual carriageway. I get roughly 390 miles from a tank so it's not bad at all!

Is that "real" mpg or what's shown on the display as mine is never that low on average...
Real. 325 miles exactly for 37.05 litres. Computer says 48.2mpg for 4500 miles, so potentially quite a bit off. You'd do well for the computer to read 39 on the road.

Any more plans for the car then OP?
No not really just carry on enjoying it. May think about a different exhaust next year.Any more plans for the car then OP?
