I too thought that you were in your late teens as your posts seem very keen to, er, get your view across. Then I watched the first minute of this and understood everything!

To be fair I like a Polo GTI and some of the lease deals on them recently have been ridiculously good value.

Okay i'll assume that was some sort of insult?

Look at my recent track videos. I think you'll agree that the Polo is very underrated!

Here's another one. This time trying to keep things as smooth as possible and it felt quite nice! Wasn't very fast though at about 2:30 a lap.

Look out for the Cayman GT4 and Caterham spinning smile

Probably best not to have videos of your car complete with registration plate being worked on at VW and the same car on track days on your you tube account. I am sure I have read things about warranties being effected by track use.

It would be quite difficult to prove that both cars are the same seeing as there's no evidence to suggest that it's my own car I'm using in the trackday videos. Also it only says that the car cannot be used for racing or time trials which a trackday is neither of.

I've never understood the whole warranty thing because you could drive like an absolute bellend on the road if you really wanted to (and many people do late at night) or you could drive smoothly on a track and get penalised? Seems silly to me. Sure you shouldn't be racing a car and then claiming a new gearbox at the end if the season under warranty sure.

My mum just bought one, almost identical spec as far as I can tell. I'm looking forward to taking it out a blast.
Prepared to be massively underwhelmed ... most overrated car of 2016 wink
I drove the car quite a bit over the past weekend. It was decent enough and I couldn't say it did anything badly. As to be expected with VAG products these days, the books quality and interior design and build are excellent. The ride is decent enough on the standard passive shocks and the NVH is good. However, it didn't excite in any way. It was entirely competent while being entirely boring at the same time. Perfect for my 63yr old Mum, but not where my money would go.

I couldn't say it was boring at all to be honest.

I don't think it appears boring in the videos either. It held its own with some faster cars so I'm happy enough smile

The Evidence is all here in this thread where you have openly admitted to taking your own car on track rolleyes

But I haven't said it was my car.

I could say I murdered someone on here with a picture of what appeared to be a dead person but it doesn't mean I would go to jail as there's no actual proof.

Did you kill someone? Was it the technician who last moved the seat in your car?

Ditto.

...is teen-level cringeworthy, bordering on touting a YT channel.

ETA: Just spotted you 'enthusiastically' linking your YT channel in a Trackday thread too. Are you planning on becoming the next "Shmee"? How embarrassing. laugh

Very true, you could say that. You would then have to prove you didn't murder someone when plod comes through your front door with a battering ram.

That's not how it works. They have to prove I am guilty wink

Not liking the way this thread is going. Might get it deleted.

All light hearted banter.
