Have always thought the Polo GTI looks fantastic. Not many on the road either compared to the Fiesta ST which is everywhere.

The residual valves also look very good which must be a huge plus for owners.

Yes it might not be as sharp as the ST but it just looks very classy.

Nice car

Good job I give exactly no fks to anything you say then isn't it? smile
Indeed. I'm sure it's a nice enough car, but a dose of realism is no harm.

I've just given your channel a 'pity view'. Spend the money wisely.

Look guys I get that there are better cars out there but for what I use and need it for it IS the best car for me..

Sure a Cayman Gt4 is faster but it's not better because I can't afford one! (Well actually the missus wouldn't let me have one lol)

Pity view? There's some good action from Snetterton on there!

Those are precisely the reasons I didn't get the ST. At the time they didn't make a 5 door either...

Here's some footage off of my mates youtube channel. Interesting bit is at 16:45 with the BMW compact that keeps making mistakes as he doesn't want to let me by smilehttps://youtu.be/TQG1BMh-ysA

Really like these. They pull well. Nearly bought one but wanted something engaging to drive.

Drive it faster wink There's always the aftermarket for that as VW always set their cars up a bit safe. Which unless you are a racing driver is no bad thing! I think the sports pack is a must for these as without it they are a little dull and rolley
and it really helps to sharpen it up on track or when the mood suits!

Just realised I hadn't posted this up..

Got into a bit of a battle with an evo, glanza and Ep3 (they were all modified, the ep3 has around 220-240bhp)

Little VW did well!

So is that your car you've taken on a track day or is it someone else's identical car you've borrowed to take on a track day? Seems harsh on their warranty if that's the case hehe

Black 5 door manual is probably most common configuration.

Nice wee cars these and the recent lease deals were very tempting!!
Would probably have one over the ST but i think a 208gti would clinch it for me.

I know your happy about your car but why do you feel the need to justify every god damn statement you make and constantly compare it to other cars which are clearly better drivers cars- it's OK to admit where your car falls behind others you know?! It's a great car but a sense of realism wouldn't go a miss either

Probably because the first time i drove one on a track I wasn't that overwhelmed either. But as I've got to know it better I've adapted to how its different to all my other "drivers cars"
(Clio 172, Twingo 133, Saxo vts, 106 gti) and have found its good but in its own way.

It's also quicker than most of the other cars in its class but the majority of the magazine/youtube reviews seem to not be able to accept this even though most independent companies have found them to be even faster than the claimed figures 0-62 6.7 147mph (which are already quicker than cars such as the fiesta 6.9 139mph) but still we have BS drag races by mags etc on youtube that have them exactly the same when in reality these will do a 6.3 to 60 mph quite happily so how can they be the same?

I also spent months looking into which small hot hatch I preferred so it does sort of bug me when people say "ooh it's not as good as a fiesta/clio/208/abarth/corsa"

I do get however that people are different and like different things however.

you seem to have a very unhealthy Napoleon complex on the polo

Here's some wet laps...

Missing the stubborn BMW that slowed himself and me down by not getting out of the way. My mate Adrian is just sending it to me now.

It's a touchy subject as people have threatened to "tell VW that I have been racing my car"

It makes me bite when people keep going on about it. I don't hear them saying it to other people on youtube etc

I think you might have turned it into a ''touchy subject' all on your own.

Can't you just be happy that the Polo GTi is a fantastic car and given how rare they are bask in your own self glory that no one else realises?

Honestly I dont think anyone cares that you can get your car to 60 1/2 a second quicker than VW can or that it's just as good as its competition.

FYI the Octavia VRS is much better and it's got a proper boot and it costs significantly less, I know because I bought one smile

OP also appears to be one of those who confuses trackdays with racing / competition... sees who he can 'beat' and then scuttles home to upload the evidence and make self congratulatory comments on the Internet.

Thats stty someone threatening to do that, on a serious note can't tell from the track pics if the plate is just blanked on the pictures or actually taped over so it's not caught by other car cams... Maybe a show plate that could be stuck over the plate to be absolutely safe in case of mishaps.
