A young chap who lives in my suburb has a silver one... I pulled over when I heard him coming...

it sounds like nothing else and looks amazing parked outside the local shops!
Bonus point for telling me what car i'm in... also a twin turbo V6...

I thought the newer S4's were 3.0 V6 supercharged?
I'd agree it's an Audi S/RS of sorts though...
Or am I behind the times already!?

You should try the Flemke F1 thread - that goes properly off piste!

Needs bigger turbos! How about a couple of GTX28RS units bolted on there? smile

Although it defiantly looks a n impressive engine. Compared to something like the Noble m12 unit (twin turbo 3.0 LTR v6). Love the intake manifolds. Look like thus are straight off a race car. smile

So far, 680hp has found itself to be more than enough for me. I'll wave the flag when I'm ready for more.

What a great thread, that last photo is less than 1 mile from my sister's house. In a couple of weeks time I will be there in the Noble, can't wait - the roads are epic! Regards Rob

Did I once read Read his engine was used in a metro, or have I gone a little crazy...

Isn't the V6 a derivative of the Metro 6R4 engine or is that the myth?

So, is it a 90 degree V?

Looks that way in the pics, certainly not 60 or 120, which would kind of confirm my recollection that the block was originally RV8 based.

Cracking engine. Interesting that OEMs are now going back to similar engines. Small capacity, V6, turbo etc. In many respects, very ahead of its time!
