Oh awesome, yes that 40 drives so well. It's surprising, it doesn't drive like it looks, people assume it'll be boaty
See you in April!

Manifold fitted now also - lots of updates on the way

Brands hatch testing went well, she flies. Totally different driving experience and the standard brakes and suspension were an issue, all items being addressed in the next month or so.

Good to see that you've got it running well.

What are you thinking with regards to brakes, X308 XJR Brembo calipers and disc though not cheap would fit?

I had AVO lowering springs on my XJ40 3.6 manual, they are 25% uprated so made a good improvement on that, tightened things up nicely...
Indeed Brembo (or in this case DB7 V12) front callipers are going on, re-running brake lines through car and getting custom discs made up.

AVO shocks already made, just waiting on springs

Front subframe has been polybushed and solid mounted, and more weigh has been chopped out

She's very close! First race in April on the 1st @ Snetterton. Hoping she will be ready

Racing calendar is online www.jec.org.uk/racing

Yes that's my business, thank you for spotting. Always trying to find decent well cared for Jaguars, and then trying to stop ripping them apart to make them go faster smile

The whine is immense! Having a helmet on helps quieten the noise, I'll try upload the video

Silverstone - Misfire halfway through and brake bias issues at the beginning. Last 8 minutes are the best!

Yes he has loads of grunt, it was actually quite funny watching the video back. Whatever line I was on, he was on the complete opposite. When I got re-lapped by the back markers, that was frustrating!

I had the misfire after the first two laps, at which point it just got worse and worse

The old tank and fuel system is now in the bin, a complete new system is being fitted with swirl pots, larger twin pumps and 40L tank

Awesome Matt! Come say hello next time

Yes race 1 plagued by a misfire and then in race 2 the fuel rail snapped! How the car didn't burn down I do not know, very fortunate

Next stop Donnington, really hoping for a trouble free weekend

HI Ben

It was made for this car and for maximum power, but I can't see any implications on a road car, but I wonder if it would foul on the aircon pipes

Swallows Jaguar Bristol can produce these
