Hi All
In theory it's sold but I have a feeling the buyer may mess me about.........
Will see what happens.....
Looking for a RS6 C6 to replace it - bit easier with my 1 and 5 year old boys!
I hope you don't get messed about as you've done all the things that the car is likely to need, if the current buyer does let you down I'm sure there are others who won't. I bet you'll miss that smooth almost endless rush of power these cars have.In theory it's sold but I have a feeling the buyer may mess me about.........

I'm sure a c6 rs6 will deliver similar thrust. Please let us know once you've decided which one to buy.
I've been thinking about getting a CL for a while but cant decide if i prefer the earlier one - is it called a 215. What made you go for the later one?
From what I've learned about them the 216 was a ground up re-design from the 215. I really didn't like the interior design of the 215 but I guess that's down to personal taste but the 216 interior is much more modern.I've been thinking about getting a CL for a while but cant decide if i prefer the earlier one - is it called a 215. Ive actually had both!
Car history went:
E39 M5
W215 CL600
E60 M5
W216 CL600
Loved the W216 and they are really cheap now - still a great looking car. However the W216 is about a decade more modern in terms of tech and just looks "right"
They both have the same amazing engine!
The W215 is more fragile particularly in terms of ABC suspension
Cheers

Didn't realise you had a 215 V12 before the 216. Do you know what make of lowering module was used for the suspension? and have you had problems relating to it being lower.Car history went:

I've even seen a facelift 7G 2011 for 16k which is tempting but way way down on thrust.
Surely it will be adequate enough to make progress.

Hi there
I think its been done with the lowering links. They are adjustable for height.
Absolutely zero issues - speed bumps are fine
Ah right, I know there are a few rather expensive modules (£1300) that operate via the ABC unit. I wasn't sure if that's what may have been fitted to yours. It's about the only mod I'd consider for the cars.I think its been done with the lowering links. They are adjustable for height.

If I can just give you my experience on CL's in general without hijacking this thread.Surely it will be adequate enough to make progress.

I'm sure that car like all CL's is a nice car to be in and drive. I tried a CL63 with the N/A engine which I liked because I had the SL63 with that engine, then tried the later turbo version again very nice and plenty of oomph. As I wildcard in a moment of madness test drove a CL600 and there was just something about the power delivery of the V12 version that got me hooked. Sod the fuel and maintenance costs at these prices they are worth it.

Gosh that is cheap... feeling a little put out as I recently paid a bit more for a similar one... though lower mileage and better equipped...Surely it will be adequate enough to make progress.

Progress is scarily adequate, makes my Gran Turismo feel a tad staid and my previous W215 positively pedestrian.
