New arrival - 2016 Audi S3 (310ps) Sportback 5 door S-tronic

really annoying.
Steering wheel control - right hand side, you push the phone button which brings up your call history in the middle display, you then attempt to scroll through using the thumb wheel on the same pod. this, naturally, turns down the radio rather than scrolls through the numbers.
its the thumbwheel on the left hand side that scrolls through the numbers. 2 hands needed for what should just be one.

PP - you came from a Golf R right? Why the change?
I'm in an R at the moment and it goes well but I'm finding the ride harsh (no dcc - d'oh!) and the build quality iffy - any thoughts?
Cheers
the change was primarily because the R was on a lease and i fancied something different.I'm in an R at the moment and it goes well but I'm finding the ride harsh (no dcc - d'oh!) and the build quality iffy - any thoughts?

I found both build quality and ride ok in my R - do you have the optional 19's on yours?

I did start with 19s but swapped to 18s - it helped a bit but I still find it harsh over rough surfaces (ie 70% of the time round our way!). Fully accept I may be in the minority here and accusations of 'soft old fart' are warranted! I found both build quality and ride ok in my R - do you have the optional 19's on yours?
Main issue is the vibration coming into the cabin which triggers a multitude of rattles and creaks - this is bugging me. I'd guess the S3 would be better?

so my summary won't really help - it feels like a better ride but i have a squeak i didn't have in the R.
Lastly, for the record - i am 42 so could also be accused of being a soft old fart

There's a tasty looking white/black saloon round near me, love the look of the saloon model, but the standard specs of Audi's in general really annoys me. £30k+ hot/mega hatch, and even cruise control is an option.
Every option so expensive too, satnav for £1500+, it's ridiculous
