No probs will post about it Friday evening for initial thoughts. Will do separate thread if the op would prefer so i dont railroad his.
Check out Tony (TRL @ BMW Berry) over on BabyBMW.net. He is consistently the cheapest. Fitted my ///M-Performance rear spoiler today to try and lift the back end. I don't think its quite as bad as you guys make out

Okay one slight issue which may hamper the purchase on friday.
Ive just fking gone and fking hit some fking one in my fking car and the insurance say its my fking fault!
Not saying whether i agree with this or not as its a public forum.
Ah mate - sorry to hear that!! Hope it's just metal and no loss of health? Hopefully it won't have too much of an effect on your insurance? Please do post pics of the car when you get it - hopefully it will help you move on from the accident Ive just fking gone and fking hit some fking one in my fking car and the insurance say its my fking fault!

That does actually look very tidy - nice little touch the exhaust tips too Fitted my ///M-Performance rear spoiler today to try and lift the back end. I don't think its quite as bad as you guys make out
Just a small knock, broken a bracket for the bumper and took some paint off. Dealer has been good though im getting an at cost repair which i just have to pay for when i hand over the vehicle on Friday and there sorting the repair.
Other chap is going through my insurance though ao costing me £600 ish for my repair and then i lose 5 years no claims discount taking down to four, a discount of 79.6% to 72% so not the end of the world, which all ng with declaring the accident puts instup about £150 a year.
Could of been worse, could of been better, but at least no injuries and it didnt happen Saturday!

Very nice motor, liking the blue.
I can't say I'm a big fan of the carbon bits and bobs... just wondering if the carbon surround bit on the exhaust tips serve any function or are they a cosmetic addition?
It's just a cosmetic addition. BMW offer you a choice between the carbon tips or the straight chrome tips - like the ones posted by the chap with the M140i above. The carbon is almost like a sheath around a regular chrome tailpipe. I appreciate it's not to everyone's tastes, to be honest once you've done the daily commute a couple of times in this weather they become so dirty they just look like black tips! I'm a bit of a sucker for shiny carbon so I do like it when it's cleaned up I can't say I'm a big fan of the carbon bits and bobs... just wondering if the carbon surround bit on the exhaust tips serve any function or are they a cosmetic addition?

op very nice looking car, bmws look so boring in grey and black and deserve colour, and suits it well.
hopefully i will get one, one day a sort of dream car really.
Hey you, you have no right to an opinion which is different from mine!! hopefully i will get one, one day a sort of dream car really.
The hope was that the brown roof would break the grey up and add a bit of class while making it a little different which i think couldnt of worked out better.
I suspect its because the DAB aerial in the coupe is integrated into the rear window glass, which obviously wouldnt work very well on the cab if the roof was down.

By the way, why does yours just have the shark fin whereas mine has this and the rubbish flexible aerial?
Just starting to press on a bit still keeping under 4000 rpm in comfort mode withabout 1cm of throttle this thing is as quick as the z4 28sdrive was. With full throttle it would not see which way the 240 went. For such an unassuming car this thing has huge straight line speed.
The steering is very light and almost devoid of feel at the speeds i have driven so far but thats not what this car is about, its a fantastic cruiser that has a wonderful engine, both for sound and power delivery.
Was getting 27mpg from the z4 and getting about 25mpg from the 240 albeit the z4 was deiven enthusiastically and the 240 is still being run in.
So far im loving it and it is exactly what i was hoping for.
