stumbled across this tonight, and realised that back in the 90's we had a call at the 7 club to provide a camera car at Cadwell, on the basis we get to play on the track all day.
After gaffer taping a BBC cameraman to the roll bar, it turned out Tiff was doing an article on the Wheatcroft and they wanted a 7 to try and keep the pace. Honestly, the 7 couldn't hold the lines Tiff wanted with a camera and cameraman messing up the centre of gravity and it was a little shouty..... that said, we wore out a set of pads and tyres for the rest of the day when we were allowed to play by ourselves and had a good play on the scalextric in the local pub with Tiff although he made us buy the beers.
It was an impressive bit of kit
