Perhaps you can sell those ghastly wheels to raise the money to get your malfunctioning spoiler fixed.

Comments on the car OR the pictures themselves?

The replies on this thread are quite amusing, I guess it demonstrates how opinions vary, quite vocally! A bit like my readers thread.

I really like the car, quite a fan of the taillights.

Stunning car before the changes, looks a bit bling / halfords to me now.

You said the 991 comes from the factory with 20's, this isn't a 991 they look like wagon wheels!

When I'm Prime Minister, among the many things I'm going to ban, will be the following:
The use of the word 'rims'
Any wheels larger than 18 inches in diameter.

There are no valid reasons for such large, heavy, ride-destroying, vulgar, unsightly lumps of metal other than an unseemly obsession with style over substance.

Apart from that piffling point, great car OP...

I'm actually surprised so many people have said they look too big, I honestly thought bigger is better. Not only that but the 991 comes with 20'' from the factory. Obviously I like them or I wouldn't have bought them but still surprised by others opinion. £11k later I think it's a huge improvement over the original car.

£11 k for the wheels !!! Jesus.

now looks like a sub 10k example you find when adding the search term " lowest first "

Beautiful car, but I don't like the wheels. It'd look much better with the multi spokes in my opinion.

Assuming the £11k isn't just for the wheels?

Not being a 997 spotter I can't tell what else is different.

Nice pictures, what do you use?

Are we supposed to commenting on the car or the wheels or photo quality? I think the wheels look too big and aftermarket and the photos are super. But it's not my car or my wheels so it doesn't matter.

Car looks nice OP and great photos.

A number of years ago I was in California and noticed that a lot of the (old and new) 911's are modified and I really liked the diversity. In the UK it seems the average 911 buyer likes a standard car, something that blends in. Maybe it's an English cultural thing.

I've modded my 911 and have had overall positive comments but I do appreciate that it's a very personal thing and just as many people won't like it. I would like to see more personalised 911's though.

Well done OP for doing something a little different!

Like the wheels, they suit the car nicely - all looks very tidy apart from the spoiler for me.

Wheels too big and personally don't like the design, nor the spoiler.

Goes without saying its a beautiful car - in my opinion I prefer the lobster claw originals, one of my favourite Porsche design, however its not my car and if you're happy with the looks good for you smile

I'm in the same boat. It looks a nice black 911 with about £1500-worth of aftermarket wheels on it to me. What else has been changed?

The wheels were £11k?

What are they made of? Gold, frankincense and myrrh?

Lovely car nonetheless.
