The girlfriends car. Bargain, £5K for 12,000 mile car with 3 years warranty remaining. Characterful little engine. Amusing handling. Only about 800kg. Runs on fumes. Great little car. Just wish the steering was a bit more direct and had a bit more feel. Minor complaints considering. It's a fun little machine believe it or not.

This is however why diesel doesn't work in a hatch.
My wife's 307 1.6s semi- auto. Had it around 18 months - cost around £2995 from a local dealer when it was on 50k miles. My wife actually learnt to drive and passed her test in it. Now it's done a little over 60,000 - my wife uses it for her 12 mile round trip to work 3 times a week and running around locally. I've probably done a load more miles than her, driven it (from Norwich) to Manchester, various parts of London, Reading, Essex, Luton.
We've never had a problem with it, only money spent so far is for the annual service and MOT, though I may treat it to 4 new tyres soon. Performance is adequate (120bhp-ish), and much more economical than my BMW 325i and Alfa GTV. It's a dull but perfectly adequate car.

The Focus was designed and built in Europe.
Why are we Brits always arrogant over Ford? Not attacking you personally, but time and time again on PH I get told Ford is British or European.Go and look it up. It's a global car built in countries all across the globe. But ultimately by an American motor company.

Turns out I don't have any pictures of mine but luckily my local car wash company does. Hopefully the picture works as it's from their Facebook page.
Currently not on those wheels as it's the season for steel wheels with nice comfy winter tyres
For the sake of Mr Pedantic aka 300bhp/ton, this car is entirely plastic including the steel wheels, seats, turbo and windows. Also, as it lives in Europe, it's a Eurobox even if the entire design team were called Hank or Billy Bob.

Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI
First car for me after years on bikes. Despite only a 6 mile commute I've put 3000 miles on it in 2 months. It's a much nicer place to be than a bike at this time of year.
I like these but I'm not really sure why. Sharp angles make it stand out from the usual shapes I guess. Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI

So if you consider Chrysler as a Dutch manufacturer, then it would indeed make the European Fords American. But I'm sure you will always think of Chrysler as American (although going by 99.9% of your posts on here, you will probably argue this for the sake of being right on the internet).
I mean seriously do you really have something wrong with you that won't let you admit you own an American car, I dunno maybe you are racist?
Anyhow, here are some facts, which I'm sure you'll just ignore, because almost every time someone uses stubborn ignorance to claim their Ford is British (or European...), they also seem to loose all sense of reason, logic and rational.
This is a Toyota Avensis.... what country would you say it's from? Is it Japanese or European or even British?
Now your logic says, Ford of Europe built your car and designed (which actually they didn't, but we will come onto that later).
Well a company called Toyota Manufacturing Ltd, listed at companies house built the Avensis in Britain, at Burnaston, Derbyshire.
So irrefutably according to your logic the Avensis is a British car, not a Japanese one? Do you concur?
On the flip side, this was built by BMW of USA. At Greer, South Carolina. So again, following your logic this one actually is an American car... Do you concur?
As for the Focus.... well lets see.

The Ford Focus is a compact car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company since 1998. Ford began sales of the Focus to Europe in July 1998 and in North America during 1999 for the 2000 model year.
Funny, it refers to the Ford Motor Company, not Ford Britain or Europe and oh look the car was also sold in N. America too interweb said:
The Ford Focus (third generation), also known as Mk III, debuted at the 2010 North American International Auto Show as a 2012 model. The cars shown were a 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback, also debuting a new 2.0L direct injection I4 engine. A 5-door estate (wagon) was previewed at the Geneva auto show a month later.
So the car was actually launched in N. America.....interweb said:
This generation of Focus would be the first Ford vehicle designed under the tenure of CEO Alan Mulally and his "One Ford" plan, which aimed to leverage Ford's global resources into creating more competitive vehicles that could be sold globally in each segment with minimal changes

Production
The Focus is being promoted as a global car, built in several different factories around the world, with changes to engine line-ups and trim levels to suit regional markets and regulations. Production locations include:
Saarlouis, Germany, production commenced December 2010 for the European market.
Wayne, Michigan, United States, production started in February 2011 for North America and Chile.
Vsevolozhsk (St Petersburg), Russia, production commences in July 2011, with the estate(wagon) model starting in January 2012.
Rayong, Thailand, commenced May 2012 for the Asian and Australasia markets, and replaces the previous Philippines plant used for the last generation Focus.
Chongqing, China started production of the Focus for the Chinese market in May 2012.
Taoyuan, Taiwan started production of the Focus for the Taiwanese market in Nov 2012.
Pacheco, Argentina started production of the Focus for most of the South American market in 2013.
a plant in Mexico will produce the Focus in 2018 replacing the Michigan Plant

Brilliant little car, by far a better car than the 500 in my opinion.
I have been given this;
It hadn’t moved in almost two years but with a little work I got it a new MOT test certificate on Saturday and I have now pressed it into daily service. I learned to drive in a Corsa ‘C’, and my mum has owned one of those for over 10 years now- those experiences and one in an Insignia hire car were sufficient to give me an enduring dislike of Vauxhall. However I reckon the Corsa ‘D’ is a significantly improved car and could fully understand somebody buying one, albeit perhaps not with an Ecotec engine (rough as aholes).
