As discussed in the Phat Fighters thread - there is talk of a Q1 challenge to scoop up people in need of a kick to get going or maybe wanting to keep going.

Proposal:

Starting Weight - Jan 1
Final weigh in - April 1

Winner is the person who loses the most weight as a percentage of their starting weight

The losing participants will pay £1 per kg that they have lost to a charity of the winners choice.

It's that simple....

Who's in? I'll keep a tally here

  • (the amount of the donation is discretionary really, but I think the spirit of the competition demands a little something at least)
NB: I think we are all old enough and ugly enough to approach this in a healthy and responsible manner

How about the the losers pay a £1 per kg or % which they miss their weight by?

That way they are paying for their failure, not someone else success... Something which is directly under their control.

I was 15.13 this morning, six pounds more than this time last week, doubt that is all actual fat but back to it from Tuesday, also might be overstating as had a couple of truly heroic dumps this morning since the weighing.

Aim is 14 stone, then see how much lower I need to go but may then focus on weight training a bit more.

Agreed, you should try and lose that as a matter of urgency wink

I'm blissfully ignorant of my weight... my car keeps on breaking it's springs..is there a link? Should I buy some scales?

I'm in. I'm going to aim for 1kg a week with my weigh ins on a Monday.

I'll weigh myself on Sunday to see what I am (roughly 120kg). So around 108kg by the end.

I'll either donate a £1 for every kg lost, or a £1 for every kg I'm away from my target, whatever is the most smile.

This mornings weigh in. 18 stone. 2.5 pounds.

Target 15 stone.

Plan is no processed sugar, no cakes, sweets, ice creams, sticky buns etc.

Cut down on white carbs, reduced portion sizes of pasta, less bread, no mashed potatoe himalayas (!), no white rice, only brown.

After a Thai meal, loads of booze I peaked at 16 st 3.8 this morning, suspect that is a bit artificial due to being full but that is what the scales said.

So far today, 2 egg omelette with Cheese and Ham, so have started.

No booze or crap now until target achieved.
