Lovely How is it on longer trips? I had an EP3 in 2005 to 2006 and found it fine on the motorway so just looking to compare.
I've had it on two 2/3 hour trips so far and it's a dream to be honest...infinitely more comfortable and refined than my mitsubishi, having that 6th gear makes cruising that bit more relaxed for sure.Awesome cars, reading through this thread kinda reminds me of picking up mine last year, one year in now and still gives me the same feeling every time you jump in it as it did the first time! the Milano red looks awesome mate but you really need to get that fog light moved that one thing actually put me off a fair few when i was looking, although its not as pronounced against the red. Saw on the DC5 forum that someone had had the bumper smoothed by a bodyshop at not much expense if it really bugs you! also 10w40 oil is fine in the teg, its just meant for more track oriented driving so will stand up to a bit more punishment. as long as its fully synth it should be fine. hoping to get mine to some shows this year, hope to see you at some?
That is beautiful just try not too modify it too much as they are awesome out of the box
And if you want to upgrade the tyres the Yokohama ad08'r are truly awesome
I'm on my second dc5 at the minute mine is probably less comfortable than yours lol
Mine has a shorter final drive
Lightweight flywheel
Mugen shocks
Spoon springs
Mugen plated diff (mental piece of kit)
And a few other bits

Absolutely, i'll be at mimms honda day and JDMcombe sofar, probably do JAE and hopefully japfest too also...may take the mitsubishi along to retrorides as i've always wanted to do that one.The foglight did irritate me a bit at first, but on balance with the rest of the car i figured it to be an acceptable foible.
The car is in with a specialist today having the central locking/alarm sorted out, and a full health check...early signs are good, apparently its in excellent mechanical condition.

Oh yeah, i failed to report that i had to call the RAC out a second time on weds this week!!! The central locking problem drained the battery to such an extent that the battery died...although from testing it seems like it was on its last legs anyway.
why they decided to fit such a small battery to a car this size is a mystery to me!
So it's also getting a brand new battery as part of the alarm post-mortem that's currently going on.
Note to self, buy jump leads/jump pack.

Nearly pulled the trigger on one of these finished in silver, it was an 06 (facelift) with approx 70k on the clock but in the end I wanted rear-wheel drive and for the same asking price I found a 2000 with only 21k on the clock so went with it...still want a DC5 in silver though!
If you're not already then I implore you to do so...get some AD08R tyres fitted...its hard to comprehend the levels of grip they provide, reinforced belted sidewalls make steering feel more direct (not that it was ever loose before) above all just enjoy it like I do with mine and on the odd occasion take a run up those welsh mountain passes and wring its neck.

The battery going is one of the very few common faults with them. That and chewing through drop links is about it, but the drop links seem to be a Honda thing rather than Integra specific.why they decided to fit such a small battery to a car this size is a mystery to me!

Agree with some of the other posts - these have aged really well, you wouldn't think they were 15 years old.
OP, really nice car, definitely a bit of jealousy over here Would love to get one, but need something sensible for a 50mile a day commute and have nowhere to keep a 2nd car
Yes. Dated I agree, but 15 years old? No I'd say less than that too. Aging really well, like every Japanese car OP, really nice car, definitely a bit of jealousy over here Would love to get one, but need something sensible for a 50mile a day commute and have nowhere to keep a 2nd car
The comment about drop links above, definitely Honda thing. My FN2 likes them also.

They have a small battery on the DC2 as well (weight saving) personally I would take the cobra alarm out as that could well be causing your problems.why they decided to fit such a small battery to a car this size is a mystery to me!

Nice car by the way the previous owner certainly looked after her.

I'll join the acclaim on your choice, bravo sir!
But being a bit of a Luddite, can anyone explain how much the parcel shelfs cost, and more to the point, why? Surely a coupe/hatch should have one as standard (or did they only come as standard on the plusher-equipped versions?)
They seem to sell for £150-£250 or more...as I understand it they were an optional extra, and maybe only standard on the C-pack (top equipment level cars). I guess it was seen as an unnecessary luxury in a track focused car....and a tiny bit of added weight! But being a bit of a Luddite, can anyone explain how much the parcel shelfs cost, and more to the point, why? Yeh the paint shop sprayed them the same colour and put the vinyls on for me and lacquered over the top.
Cool, I'll have to find somewhere happy to do the same.I'm thinking it has to be championship white if I get them a different colour....although if I'm honest I really don't mind them in the silver at all.

Not standard on the C-pack cars either. Completely separate optional extra, like the push button start. Bizarre, but then it is Japan Congratulations - your story reminds me of my own. The only problem with getting a DC5 is that it's such a difficult car to replace! 3 years in, the only 'replacement' option is to get a second car. Stunning cars indeed, a few snaps of my own milano DC5 below:
