I worked at Vodafone many years ago, they had one of the these (saloon) as a pool car to get between sites. I was a young lad then and although I am not great fan of the Vectra I used to look forward to getting the keys to this and thrashing it between Newbury and Banbury smile

It will be fun, not quite super sleeper but will go much faster than many expect, while mine is only the 1.8 it holds up well when going for a hoon, ok you have to be very smooth and gentle but holds on well for a big fwd car desgined to spend its life on motorways/family wagon.

Not as far as I know, but I've read they respond well to a remap (for an NA car) about 230hp.

i have a soft spot for a vectra v6. i had a vectra b mk1 (uk) with the 2.5 and it was a smooth, reliable and comfortable car that was great on the motorway. obviously there are more dynamically competent cars out there but its also extremely easy to spend a load more cash on something perceived to be much better.

My Dad had a Vectra 2.2 in this shape, but his wasn't an estate.

I actually really liked it.

I've always spared a second glance at Vauxhall's "Q-cars", and there's been a lot of them over the years. If only in admiration for the slightly eccentric people who went balls out and opted for the V6 engine in a pretty boggo looking saloon when everybody else played it safe with the 1.8. When the mk1 Vectra was launched and fuel prices were tolerable, I remember the 2.5 selling pretty well and by all accounts was something people would aspire to in SRi form with leather and all the bells and whistles. Had a 2.2 'Direct' (the engine that found it's way into the VX220) estate a few years ago and it pulled like a train!

Cheat!
It's a Signum. Just an uglier Vectra.

Joking aside, nice car. So many bitter people on here. Don't know why.

No mileage listed on the ad but your search criteria is above 35k miles. So close, and yet so far smile

Enjoy the Vectra, the estate models are cavernous!

I had a Vectra SRi as a loan car for about a month, I did grow to quite like it.

Hmm, the mileage is higher but not by much and you do get an extra 30 horsepower. Good spot smile
Yes it does feel like a big car, lots of space inside. My other car which the Mrs has at the moment is a 2004 C180 estate and it feels much more cramped (my knee is always resting on the centre console)...

I agree and certainly don't have a problem with Vauxhall.

To these eyes that is utterly gopping, but eye of the beholder and all that

Deffo a bargain for such a tasty engine though
