Hello all,

Not sure if this is the corrcet forum for this but....

Anyway, I'm trying to track down an old BMW I used to have. It was a BMW E38 750iL with the registration number M7 GSV. I would like to buy the car back for setimental reasons (should never have sold it tbh) It was in ? metallic green (unsure of code name) with cream leather interior. I was just wondering if any of you PHers knew of it's whereabouts?

Thanks,
Stevie.

In addition to the current keeper, it has 10 previous keepers. Also the MOT ran out in March last year, it was MOT'd in March 2015 at 157k with a long list of advisories so I doubt it's on the road.

It noted it was SORN'd on the DVLA website. Just seems sad to think of layed up somewhere rotting away. When I sold it it was a well maintained car with a folder of documents and receipts.

I think your best bet would be to try your luck with the DVLA and request the current keepers details. I'm not sure on the process but if you search there's many threads on the subject.

I've filled a V888 DVLA form and I will try my luck with the DVLA. Fingers crossed.

Out of interest, what "reasonable cause" did you use on the form when asking for the RK details?

Don't laugh but I stated that I wished to buy the car back to use for my daughters wedding! My daughter loved the 750iL. My wife, my daughter and I travelled to italy twice in it and toured France a number of times when my daughter was young. Out of all the cars i've had (around 60!) it's the only car she actually rembers and loved. So I thought I would try and buy it back and surprise her (She's not getting married by the way! Well not that I know of??)
