I really want one of these when I replace my Stage 2 Golf R... The noise of the 5 pot is pure filth. Do you have any 0-60, 60-120 or 1/4 times since the APR remap?

GPS recorded was 0-60 3.2 0-100 7.9 which is pretty much what other modded RS do.

This is a similar car...

Holy crap that's quick!

I love surprising exotics in mine but there really isn't much on the road that would beat yours....

eek

So basically breathing mods and a remap makes for a serious rocket? I have respect for these but never knew how fast they'd go after remap.

As I am sure charltjr saw, the key to the car's straight line performance is the torque.

A 991 GT3 weighs about the same (1450kg or there abouts) but has 460nm whereas a decent Stage 1+ or Stage 2 TTRS will have 600-650nm.

The only car that always seems to get away bit by bit on the road is my friends 993 TurboS which has hybrid turbos.
Fearsome little cars that punch well above their weight even in standard time, start tweaking them and ....:

If you start to upgrade turbo fuel pump and intercooler etc you get 600bhp...too much for a daily imo

Not helping.... I love a nice 5-pot and that engine note is just pure filth.

Wonder if I can fit in one with a helmet on. Now there's a thought process which could end in tears.

My word.

Hi mate, nice to see your still loving the TTRS, I do wish I had chance to explore mine some more but an atom came along at a price I couldn't refuse.

I can vouch for the APR tune on these... consistently under 8s 0-100 and easy 11s 1/4's
People still always question it...

The torque range and s-tronic box ratios make it such a straighline weapon!

Will be interesting what the new one "tweaked" will be like

And yet when I have sung the praises of a lightly breathed on TTRS on general gassing I seem to have pitchforks aimed at me.

Great car OP. Personally the fact it looks no different from the cooking models is a big plus for me - wolf in sheeps clothing.

Unfortunately they have an image problem (as do Audis generally IMO) but if you want something beautifully built, very quick and capable out of the box (and that most won't know what it is) look no further.

To say they're not the most tactile of cars would be a massive understatement, but the standard chassis can be improved upon massively (and it would be the thing I'd address before a power increase if/when I get another).

I've been waiting for prices to head South (I paid £34k for my sub 10k miles RS Plus Coupe back in 2015) and there are some well priced cars with sensible mileage out there now.
