OK - another newbie weather question...

Are you going to commute in this? 40kmh winds and rain for me this morning according to the weather.

I only scoot through town but you can still feel the gusts.

Yes, but I mostly drop the kids to school, walk the dogs, then work from home.

copied my post from the commuting thread, if you have the option to drive today I would it'll be far safer and more comfortable. As expected though I saw the hardcore on their Hornets etc on the way, good on you boys.

Bike stayed at home today, riding my naked 125 commuter would be less fun than its worth in this wind. Nice warm Mondeo took me in today with some over excited woman on the heart station keeping me company.

675 Daytona and Commuter tucked up in the garage.

It was a bit of a challenge on my 125 tbh. A few wind gusts on the express ways are somewhat heart pounding lol. Debris off trees at 50-60mph also hurts a little. Having a bag with a bat hanging out of it also adds to the fun. Got there eventually. Wasn't aware of the warnings though boxedin

Was fine for me this morning but looks like it's not got to its worst yet for Herts/Bucks.

No wind issues, I did however get caught out by the deluge 5 mins before I got to work.

Yes I rode in today, my commute is 20 miles along the coast so pretty windy but nothing to worry about really.

Some snow up here in Scotland, but nothing too severe yet.

wkers at my work grit the carpark when there's RAIN, but haven't done it the last 3 times there's been snow. I took one step out of the car this morning and nearly decked it. Brain-dead retards.

I left the bike at home today and borrowed the car to come in to work.

We've got 30mph winds, with gusts of up to 50mph, and I have to cross two bridges.

Given the amount of debris on the road on the way in, quite glad i did drive. the road was littered with branches and the occasional dustbin lid or blown-over roadsign.

Depends where you are in the country I suppose but if you go by what the news says, everyone should stay in doors - I rode into London, few gusts of wind - nothing we've not seen before, few spits of rain & now blue skies and sun - over hyped as usual by the news.

Probably a different story up North.

Was getting almost blown over sat at the lights, but it's mostly headwind for me in Kent so it was just 120mph headwind instead of 80mph. The lashing rain one minute, bright sun the next was interesting though.

Took the car today. Very windy in Hatfield and whilst it's sunny, I hear there's armageddon coming apparently

Pretty windy up in the North West today, still went in on the bike though. Had one hairy moment at 5mph across a crossroads in Liverpool with a squally gust from the right moving me about 3ft before I could correct it, the crossroads was basically acting like a channel for the wind, fine other than that, though, if a bit leany smile. Forecast says it's going to quiet down before the end of the day.

My sisters opted to go to work in the car today. It turns out Doris still had plans for her. Her new'ish MT-07 has blown over in the garden. Probably thanks to a Oxford bike cover. Still strange as it's quite heavy and was in a tucked away area between the fence and the house. She won't be back for the day to lift back up, hopefully it'll be OK in the mean time.
