I guess it was asking a lot of a high mileage engine, time for a 2.3 perhaps? I was reading about a 2.5 conversion the other day, but I don't think you can get that particular engine over here.
Not that you got a lot of time for evaluation, but what did you think to the coilovers, in particular road manners and ride comfort?
Roddisons do a 2.5l engine swap. Might be worth speaking to him as I believe it's a reasonable price.

However, if you're sprinting then I doubt you'll want to go down that route.
You are correct I want to keep it 2.0 for sprinting and hills. Rodders swaps are very good though, pity I can't go that route.

Bookmarked - I'll keep an eye on it to see how you get on resolving the issues if at all. I plan to take my NC to sprints/hillclimbs in the future, but it will be staying very much stock, I'd like to enter in the showroom class.

A shame it's not gone so well; I wonder how fastidious the previous owner was with oil levels? I'm looking to source a later dipstick for mine, sick of being unable to read the level with any form of accuracy. I'm paranoid now as mine is on similar mileage. If you do break the car please let me know!

Rear lights now tinted red. Much better.

Also more stickers, because race car.

And another shot of those lovely new wheels.

Very good as far as I can tell so far. THe geometry is currently way out which doesn't help asses them but the alignment bolts are seized so I've not had a chance to get that sorted yet.

I'm not sure I'd want them on a daily though. I've got them at 10 clicks from soft and they're still very hard.

Engine still broken, put on more stickers to cheer myself up.

We now have a plan and rough timescale for the engine repair so it may make JDM Combe. I also need to rebuild the brakes, fit new clutch and sort out the stuck alignment bolts.

Busy, busy!

Looks good!

Sorry to hear about the engine, I guess you'll have to drop a V8 into it...
