Peugeot 208 GTI by Peugeot Sport
Discussion
Hi there,
Hope you don't mind me contacting but I have recently acquired your car and just wanted to let you know that she now resides in the West Midlands. It was nice to read your initial thread and comforting to learn that a considerate, knowledgeable driver had run her in.
For me, the reason for purchasing was a hark back to my youth and the glory days of the hot hatch in the late 80's/early 90's. I have been a Peugeot fan for many years and cut my teeth in 205 and 309 gti's but then the brand seemed to lose their edge. The 208 by PS however, has been a real return to form and a worthy successor to the 205. Both cars do things slightly differently for different reasons but certainly share the same ethos (DNA if you like) and the smile on the drivers face is identical. I still have my K-plate 205 1.9 from my aforementioned youth which comes out in the summer. Who knows, maybe I can keep the 208 for the same amount of time - 25 years and counting....if I can live that long! Best regards.

Not the OP but what a great first post! Would be great to see a pic of the the 205 and the 208 together!
As an ex-205 GTI owner I feel like Peugeot have found their way a bit with this car; I hope it continues.
Thanks, hopefully I'll get better with time!As an ex-205 GTI owner I feel like Peugeot have found their way a bit with this car; I hope it continues.
Will get a pic sorted when the weather brightens up. Here's a recent one of piglet (yeah, I know, the family like to name cars....)

Really nice garage collection! 205 looks sharp. Will be interesting to hear how you get on with the 208 PS. Very tempted as a future mini replacement.
Thanks, pretty tidy garage yourself. Always had a soft spot for the mini's wheel-at-each-corner layout. And look after the Type R - I reckon they'll be properly sought after in a few years time. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
