Where’s the money shot?! What power is it running?

Has the box got an LSD? Would have thought the C4 box would have been a good one for it with the longer ratios and LSD.

Looks great fun, I had 2EK4’s and they are awesome

A Goautoworks S-Race Turbo kit with a Garrett GTX2867 0.82 Turbo is currently being fitted to the car, it should be ready for mapping towards the end of next week.

Parts being fitted:
- Goautoworks S-Race Turbo kit with a Garrett GTX2867 0.82 Turbo.
- Hondata S300 V3.
- Morosso baffled sump.
- Speed Factory 4bar map sensor and 3 port boost solenoid.
- Catch can tapped into breather ports on the rear of the block.
- Walbro 255 fuel pump and DW1000cc injectors.

Look forward to seeing what power it makes next week.

It’s being mapped next week.

It’s currenlty running a stock S4C box, I’m looking for a S9B gearbox that i will be fitting a Kaaz 1.5 way diff to.

I intend to change the gearbox and have the engine rebuilt with forged pistons and rods around Feb/March time, before I start using it on track in anger.

Is he a Honda specialist? What kind of power do you think you’ll get?

S9B box with a Kaaz will be a nice setup. I’ve a Supercharged EP3 with around 330bhp and realllly need a diff!

He has built and mapped quite a few boosted Hondas, depending on how healthy the stock engine is I reckon it’ll make around the 330-350 mark, should make for a lively drive considering it is completely stripped of anything that doesn’t make it go, stop or turn.

Your EP3 must be awesome, what charger are you running? I was looking into chargers for the DC5 but decided to leave that relatively stock for now.

That will be nice Power, I once had a Greddy turbo kit on an EK4, ran 300bhp and was a monster. Until it smashed a ringland off a piston after 37 hours hehe then I learnt that mapping is the key!

Mine is fun as a road car, runs a Rotrex C30-94 and has been something of a labour of love!!

Sounds good, the K20s are awesome!

Fingers crossed this one lasts a little longer that 37 hours lol

Really looking forward to taking it for a drive, Hopefully the roads aren’t too wet this weekend.

I’ll also try and get it weighed at some point this weekend.

I like that, dam clean and plenty of poke. That amount of power, a diff and super sticky tyres will make it a menacing track carthumbup

It should be quite nippy. I’m picking up a longer ratio S9B gearbox this weekend, the plan is to get it fitted with a Kaaz 1.5way LSD before its first track outing on 19th Jan.

Awesome car mate!

I'm currently on the hunt for a cheap EK to start a low cost track build/back road weapon however cheap EK's don't seem to exist anymore or if they do they're auto's and I'd rather not do a manual swap

Thanks mate, decent examples do seem to be quite thin on the ground. Hope you manage to find one.

This one was also meant to be a low cost track build, but that’s gone out the window lol

Today’s minor job on the car consists of refurbing the slightly weathered headlights including painting them in a shade of graphite grey, they should be back on the car tomorrow.
