Looks really good.
I have a 427SC on build at DB427. I'm basing mine on CSX3049.
It will have a 580 bhp Southern Automotive 427 ci side oiler engine.
It will be a left hooker.
My previous one was based on an AK427. See below. It had the windsor engine making around 450bhp. It sounded like two Harleys .. one on each side of you.

If it was me I would get rid of the passenger hoop but thats only cosmetic. Looks great.
I was offered your old car by a place in Malton.I have a 427SC on build at DB427. I'm basing mine on CSX3049.

I'll be going down the engine bay route you old one had too.
In regards to the second hoop..... I originally wanted one with just the drivers one....but
Mrs Waitey feels far happier in it with one over her head, which I can't argue with, and this car was bought on her suggestion for s to spend time in together.
Congrats on the DB427. I emailed Dave a bit when I was looking. I just couldn't get the man maths to go that far!

I had a similar conversation with my other half on why I will be getting a hoop and she won't be!I'll be going down the engine bay route you old one had too.

Due to Covid I've had delays on the build of mine. Hopefully it should be done July/. August time. The body and the chassis are done but unfortunately they seem to be stuck in Poland at the moment. We have the engine and gearbox and most parts. Frustrating!

This thing is fast. From a roll it left an easy 50m set of 11’s in 3rd gear.
we demand a video ! preferably in front of the 6 doors down neighbour's house Blue 7 said:
I’d consider it a privilege to have a big block Cobra six doors down the road! What’s wrong with people?!
I agree, I’d be down there for a look sharpish. Boring the owner senseless asking him stupid questions about every little thing about it and trying to blag a passenger ride in it. Congratulations OP, more power to your elbow for knowing exactly what you wanted and then going for it. I've looked at the photos a few times now and it looks 'right', especially on those 15s . They just don't do it for me on 17s with too much bling.
About eighteen months ago I looked into having a Hawk 'Le Mans' Cobra built but just couldn't justify the expense at the time, it was fun trying to decide what look / spec I wanted though. I also thought about going down the GT40 rep route but came to the same conclusion.... I still hanker after one or the other sometimes though!
Good luck

Absolutely cracking car, congratulations and glad you're working through the problems.
My mum has had a dream of buying one for years after she took one on the track: ever since my dad has been secretly building information on the various kits and possibility of an electric version.
Good to see one, especially with the proper engine, being enjoyed!

This is absolutely fantastic and I can’t imagine how happy you must be with it. It must sound amazing with those side pipes as well, I have one of your afore mentioned AMG’s and I am pretty sure my neighbours dislike mine haha… I will look Forward to hearing some videos of yours in the future! Keep up the good work

Very cool, the depth of your knowledge shows through, clearly a Cobra Connoisseur.
The quote about Backdraft taking the geometry from the E36 M3 is interesting - presumably this has double wishbones upfront though, rather than the E36's McPherson struts? Or not?
Will be interested to hear your driving impressions once you get more miles in it.
