Glad to hear it might finally be resolved (and no other problems crop up!)

I was thinking about this thread the other day and wondering if everything was fine or you maybe you had broken down on Dartmoor and since been living a nomadic life sustained on berries and rain water hehe
Hahaha I often think that something like that could happen with my luck! Although it has to be said, it’s never stranded me…..yet!

Quick update, car has been fantastic! No more misfiring which has been a joy.

Car is coming up to its first service, mileage is circa 8500.

Two minor issues are a foggy driver side DRL and a front parking sensor playing up. Classic Aston.

Funnily enough I was thinking about this thread on my drive to work this morning smile

Glad to hear it’s going better (although not quite perfect yet).

It's sexy as hell*, but there is no way I could put up with the number of needless niggles you have. Nice one for sticking with it.

(* for what it is, obvs).

When I saw this thread pop up again, I must admit, my heart sank.

Glad you're happy.

So a year has passed since I collected my brand new DBX 707. A few headline figures:

- 11,000 miles driven
- 2,740 litres of fuel consumed averaging 18mpg
- 8 trips to the dealer for warranty claims, 1 for a service, making 9 total
- likely a lot of £££ lost in depreciation!

Reflecting on a year of ownership has given me a lot of highs and lows. Around June time I was ready to sell/reject the car and go for something else due to the constant niggles and intermittent misfiring. Since the fix the car has been stellar and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

The DBX is not as perfectly rounded as other rivals, the tech could do with a polish, it lacks some features(rear wheel steer, massage seats, HUD etc) but in the end these things are not missed day to day. I’m sure Aston will eventually get round to adding these to the next DBX facelift.

For me this car is perfect(other than the warranty issues). It is practical with storage and passenger space for the family, it is luxurious and has that feel good factor and has the performance & engagement to keep a driving enthusiast like myself entertained on the road.

I’ve yet to take it on track and I’ve managed to kerb all of the 23” wheels(I blame the thinner tyre wall haha) so there things to be done over winter.

The car came into its own during storm babet as several local roads had flooded. I had chance to use the terrain mode and do some mild fording. Drove through a foot of water no issue and past other hydro locked and abandoned vehicles. A BMW 3 series was not so lucky. Another tick for the raised ride height of the SUV when weather gets tricky.

Here’s to another year of motoring and hopefully no more issues!

Glad to hear it is fulfilling its potential despite all the niggles early on.

Would you trade up to the refreshed DBX which is due soon?

Unless I got a lucrative offer it would likely be a no unless it comes along in another year or two’s time.

However I can be impulsive with cars so I may eat my words haha.

You’ve put a deposit on a DB12 haven’t you? Or am I misremembering other AM posts?

Nope, I cancelled my DB12 deposit when my DBX issues weren’t getting resolved quickly.

I do like the DB12, especially the interior but the rear end is still the same as the old car and despite the driving dynamics being even better, it will not match a Vantage in that area. So that’s where my money will likely go upon refresh.

Haha I think so!

It’s not great for Aston that when I post up people think something’s gone wrong again. Maybe I’m just very unlucky!

It’s my sole car currently and moving to a new place where a second car would be abit of a pain, despite this I’m happy to report the DBX really can be a “one car solution”.

Are there tyres with rim protection available for the DBX, or are they Aston Martin fitment and already fitted on these?

Glad your car is sorted now. Mine’s been faultless coming to almost one year ownership.
I just love the car, so much so I very rarely take the Vantage out.
I see the 707 is your only car now, have you sold the F1 Edition Vantage?
They looked like the perfect pair!

Does anyone know why the towing rating isn’t 3.5t?

The larger 23” forged wheels don’t have as much tyre wall sticking out to protect them so sadly much easier to bash.

The 22” sport wheels (I use mine as winters) are much more forgiving.

That was my issue, Vantage didn’t get a look in. Felt wasted really.
