Good pile! Thanks for watching the video!

I couldn’t dislodge & film at the same time but it was a case of removing the obvious debris and then (the best way to describe it is….) giving the drain a good seeing to.

Check out the size of my new battery! 110 AH and 956 CCA phwoar!

There was a code for electrical load that normally means the battery is on the way out. The existing one was a no name brand and a little small for the car.

It will be interesting to see what codes remain after the reset.

If its a non-AGM one then possibly around £150 from Halfords?

£180 from Halfords, unless you have a savings code. Hopefully the OP bought it from Tayna for £152 delivered.

If I do end up going to the NEC this weekend, its a good excuse for an MPG challenge - I wonder how close I can get to 30mpg? Last long distance trip I did 27.5 without thinking about it, so it might be possible.

In terms of dealing with interior odours, isn’t there an old remedy of cutting an onion in half & leaving it in the vehicle for a day or two?

I’ve never heard of that, but it’s worth a try? hehe

Just ordered a new set of sparks & coil packs, if I’m to hit 30 mpg I need the car to be performing its best.

£441 but with the longer trip Stuttgart next month it makes sense.

What is this 30mpg witchcraft? My 4.8 na will see 23mpg at best on the motorway. Maybe because the turbo has lower compression and you drive it off boost?

Seems a little pointless to own a 520bhp panzer if you are going to drive it like Miss Daisy though hehe

I’m just intrigued to see if it’s possible, 27.5 definitely is and that’s before the car was serviced and had wrecked winter tyres.

My car gets greater mpg with Momentum than 95/97. It actually works out cheaper per mile even allowing for the big price difference.

I normally use Tesco super, is that momentum? Handy if it is as it’s usually the cheapest super in town.

I probably need to sort the air leak between the MAF/TB as well. That’s probably not helping economy, IPD intake plenum time?

Maybe get a smoke test done as that may not be the only place that is leaking?
