The problem is the light design itself as they are a recess design and can not stick past the body.....
I am using wood, fibreglass, foam and filler to make the buck, I will be making moulds as the body is mega heavy and fragile.
Regarding the droop, I have taken my best judgement on the curve below the wheel centreline and I will need to check they clear on full droop (2in) before I finalise them.

Ahh yes, being flush fit would kind of remove that part of the design wouldn't it!
I have to say I really admire your patience doing it that way! I could just about cope with clay (I think) but really, really hate trying to get symetery on things by manual forming. I thought about doing mine with a rib former and layover method if the CNC machine fails, but even that I'm not overkeen on! Suppose it gives me drive to get the CNC machine working properly!
Be interested to hear on the droop when you have tested it, If I do go for the hydro suspension I will probably have no option but almost straight bottoms to the wheelarch, but if I go standard sprung I'd definitely like to go for the full round effect.

This was what I was thinking..... I'm not 100% sold but I don't think I am not going to get any closer with an electronic pic so I will finish mocking it up.... I have the shape made and the lights fitted (which are far nicer than my PSP attempts at mocking them up) just need to get the curs in the panel (as I think you suspect its not flat on either plane).

Like that lots. I think you are right, it's definitely time to start mocking or you'll be going round in circles like I am.
I have a very very minor mod in my mind but it's one I would need to put in PS as it could look tosh - dont have PS on this PC unfortunately but will have a play when I get home.
I actually need to split the rear panel to allow for a shut line this was why I had the vent spanning the car previously so that it could be done without it looking strange.
Basically it needs to be slightly above the number plate as this is the height of the chassis behind that I will hinge from....
The other thing I was thinking of was to have a slight gap between the lower defuser and the actual rear pannel to also vent air from the engine bay.

Well that would be an easy split point. If you post up a pic with a line showing exactly where the chassis is I'll rework it for you. I reckon a singular rear fog in the middle of the diffuser under the plate in a pod - if you work the position and pod out well, you could also use it to mount your rear number plate light on?

currently this is a one off with no plans to produce it.... never say never, but I can't see there being any money in it and its mearly a hobbey for me as my real job is very different.

I'll hopefully have a new pic to work from soon with the lights in and the bodywork above the lights also done by the end of tommorrow... Thats asuming the wife doesn't drag me in to do yet more work on the house as she did today.
