Thanks mate. Thinking about a real blow job here, as I've decided to keep her!

Quoted 500bhp when I bought her (that'll be a yankee 500 woopie doo me thinks), but no reason why we can't get her pink and black ass in gear and actually get more when really sorted. I got the bloody rubber mats flying off the dashboard in Clacket Lane Services if that helps... In about 300 feet, LOL.

Small block Chev, but the sky's the limit with these hearts. Just need to get to grips on her handling now! And she's gonna be a bh!

Wow, some really nice motors smile

My creation. Almost finished. Ive not got anymore time to work on it, so sent her of to have a couple of bits completed and mapped. Roll on 500Hp @ wheels at around 1.5bar. Oh its in a Honda Accord Type R biggrin

Bottom End: JDM H22A Closed Deck
Head: JDM H22A Type S
Internals (All changed...HUGE list)
Turbo Holset HX40
That turbo is fking HUGE! eek
Holset primarily make truck turbos if my memory serves me correctly. Lots of the ghetto 20VT Audi motors and BMW sixes use them for drag out in the Nordic countries, 'cos they're freaking huge. In fact theres a BMW 2002 out there that's pulling low 8 second quarters with a Holet blower and a built E30 M3 S14 block. No boost til about 5000rpm though.

How does yours boost JayK?

Edited by ManOpener on Wednesday 28th July 21:38
Your right, Diesel Truck / Boat Turbo's.....very strong, very strong shafts. If they can push a full loaded Truck just imagine what they can do for a car. smile Yes i dont know of anyone else using a Holset in the UK on a Honda anyway. But in the US they love the Holset, sticking them on everything.

Your right, im going to have boost coming in a round 4500rpm, and full boost/power will be 5500rpm to 9000rpm, so a nice big power band there.

She's not boosting just yet though, shes away for a few bits and mapping, so will know soon smile

Thanks
Jay

I think I've seen that elsewhere, though I can't remember where. The only defining feature I can remember is a fuel swirl pot in the boot.
Right car?

Looks like a Vortech V2 blower too. That should produce some pretty good power- or go pop catastrophically. Lets hope for the former!

Yes your correct it is a v2 SQ on a 928 GT, running 12psi with 42lb injectors but needs plenty of mapping still

The standard engine is very capable at holding boost if its in perfect order with new ish head gaskets, but if it blows take it apart fix it and make it faster

Its an off the shelf kit from the states from tim murphy who's sold about 70 plus kits for the 928
