nothing further to add complements wise, im sure your already aware you own some very nice motors and you probably adore them as much as we all do. I think you've found the solution to keeping the milage down on your supercar and being able to drive one every day...buy four or five and spread the milage!!!
tbops, I trust you picked up the SLR from the McLaren place in Woking? Managed to get blag a tour of there on Wednesday and was very impressed with all the roadsters being built.
It must take you ages to get to work in the mornings, standing in the garage wondering what to take.....
Very nice!

you can ignore this if you like if you are worried about anything being pinched or whatever..
but how many cars do you keep at a time? end what do you have at the moment?
how long do you keep them?
are you essentially flipping some of the ferraris?
i only ask because i think i'd be spec'ing the car just how i wanted it and then keep it for longer than it appears you are.

i still have the fez's they havent been flipped one was shifted for a model with better spec. The minimum ive kept any fez is a year, infact the only ones i have flipped are the silver SLR and the roller that stank of dog piss. Im not saying that the i wouldnt sell at the right price but i dont purchase them soley to sell them at a higher price.
im in double figures easily for cars at the moment.

I enjoy sharing them, told this a million times but its some bloke who let me sit in a old school ferrari boxer that he was cleaning for a garage years ago that gave me my love of exotics. So it makes me more than happy to let others sit in and enjoy stuff that im in the privilaged position to have.
tbops, thanks for the sharing of your fine machinery. It's this statement that really brings a smile to my face. I recently spent a week on a European road trip with a few exotic motors. One of the cars in the convoy was a F355 owned by JAMES P. When we were out and had stopped for lunch he would always give 10 minutes of his time to people who wanted to check out his car. There was one young lad inparticular who was simply in love with the `sight of a Ferrari` but when James opened the door and said for him to jump in while his parents took some photos simply made his day and he nearly fainted !! It's memories like that, that will stay with the individual forever. Edited by M3John on Saturday 27th October 16:42

just to note hte silver 599 on the previous page is the same car that was in the top gear studio on last nights episode!
Do you agree with Clarksons panning of it where he declared it unusable day to day and doesn't feel special enough to justify the price? He did genuinely look like he was enjoying it round the track though Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
