just to note hte silver 599 on the previous page is the same car that was in the top gear studio on last nights episode!
Do you agree with Clarksons panning of it where he declared it unusable day to day and doesn't feel special enough to justify the price? He did genuinely look like he was enjoying it round the track though cloud9
I agree with one point, the car is so easy to use it doesn't feel special. Thats the only thing i agree on. The price is worth it in fact people are still paying 230 all day long for a regular specced one! its a brilliant day to day drive easy parking decent storage comfy on long journeys and despite what that plum says the air con is fine. As for it being too wide its only 3 inches wider than a gallardo, Ive driven it round Europe in most of the main city centers and ive never had a problem thru width restrictions or heavy traffic.

Stonking car all round

To be honest, as much as I love Clarkson, his view on a car is only one persons view. He is only a human being. Yes he is the best of the best at his job but if I liked a car that much and it gave me that tingling feeling deep down (and in my family jewls) I personally couldn't care less about what some middle aged badly dressed man said about it on Top Gear!

Lovely car that 599 Tbops, get some pictures up of it covered in bubbles like the Enzo. That really got my 5 Star Unleaded flowing nuts

And just for the record, Clarkson is still my idol (mock me if you want) and im not gay.

I think in that case he may have thought about the nice discounts he was getting at lambo as he wrote the review. the 599 is only a bit wider than his gallardo. Is a sublime car to drive in dry and wet conditions. In the flesh has some beutifull lines. I cant see how he didnt rate it, Especialy how he ended his review on how he would rather have an old school one.

Again i dont really listen to reviews as as clarkson the highest paid journo said he would never be in the position to buy some of the cars out there. SLR, Phantom, Enzo reviews are a bit odd as the person reviewing them can never really put themselves in the mindset of buying the car. Like on 5th gear its just aww at how expensive it is and how they can drive one while regular peeps wouldnt have the chance. Then again some poeple like clarkson would turn around and put down a car they have no chance of getting, much like the mc12, for the shock value.

Good point!

In that case, I think you should apply for a job at Top Gear!

Have you thought about getting a mc12? Or was it a case of the Enzo or the Mazza?!
I secretly like to think it wasnt and that you have one tucked away somewhere....

Wow, wow, and wow again!!!

What a collection of cars, you must be very proud of yourself.

We all say we aspire to own a collection like that but realistically its just never going to happen. I just fancy one of them lol.

Keep us updated!!

tbops - that's a good point. I think a potential owner will have a very different opinion of a supercar than a 'fanboy' who would love it just because it is so expensive and so fast.

I disagree, I think that clarkson could buy any one of those cars, just think of all the videos columns that he does, I think he could easily afford these if he wanted them.
