Cheers for the positive comments guys - i almost feel like i'm letting people down by selling the ole Sax' I am going to get the rollcage done the same colour as the car too I think, doesn't look quite right black in my opinion.

its been resurrected as the engine has now been placed into a (stunningly good condition) 106 Rallye S2..

should be up and running in a week or so. fingers crossed.

Shame that the Saxo went, it had so much work on it. It would have been great to have seen the Saxo as a finished article. This thread has been so detailed in its description and I was looking forward to seeing it all up and running.

I guess a lot of prjects end up this way. Still I am sure the OP will make use of the parts he has kept and get the 106 looking smart too.
