Been installing some new stuff. Replaced the blow off valves with another ones that are just a tiny bit bigger Finally got the new CF plenum cover and when installing it I also replaced the idle control valve. Here I have removed all the stuff on top of the motor: The idle control valve is the part with the green sticker. Parts all over the place: New valve installed: Everything being reassembled again: The new plenum cover: Had to source new bolts since the original ones didn´t fit: Plenum cover on: All hoses on and tightened: Lo and behold.... it started up again

Are you taking the m5 to the ring this year?
or just sticking with the M3?

or just sticking with the M3? No the M5 stays in Iceland this year. As for the oil.... can I change oil with fewer bottles I took the car for a road trip this weekend - went camping. When I suggested to my girlfriend that we should take the M5 she replied "But it will just break down?!?!?!?!" I of course said no - and I was right. 1.160km without problems.

Carbon plenum cover still holding up - done two 1000+ km trips and several 200+ kmh runs. So hopefully this problem is solved. Here is a pic a friend of mine took at a local BMW drift/track day - quite like it: Didn´t do any laps - just went for the free hotdogs and cola Pics from the event here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=1...

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=I2UcERh_gtoBloody hell! Those E30 drivers are nuts... and to think the Japanese think they invented drifting! Great pictures on the thread, well worth a look, thanks for sharing.

love the m5, wasn't sure on the wheels in the first pics but they have really grown on me Still not sure about the bonnet Was shocked and pleasantly surprised when I saw the M3 was yours, I remember reading through the thread you link and drooling over the pictures
