Thanks, it´s getting there..... slowly
Projects such as this always take time, as you are are effectively doing R&D to get things right. Do you have a plan for controlling the DCT, various companies are claiming that they offer DCT conversions however no working example has been shown to the public...

Plan has been to use the OEM ECU with custom programming.Do you have a plan for controlling the DCT, various companies are claiming that they offer DCT conversions however no working example has been shown to the public...
However..... as you mention there are companies now offering open DCT solutions. The one I am following closely is the one from MAXXECU. They are also coming out with a PDM system. Tempting to take out the old electrical system and have a modern one.
Usually the stock BMW sumps have features that cover up the back of the flywheel, or in other cars there's a cover plate.
Given you've got a dry sump, I'd be using some card to mock up a cover template and cut it out of 2 or 3mm aluminium and bolt it in on the exisiting holes on the gearbox.
It may need some rib features in the panel like shown below to stop it bowing under aero load. If you know anyone who's handy with a bead roller, I'm sure it could be done by hand. Or looking at it, you could tie it into the sump bolts with a machined piece for some extra strength.

Nooo prioritise this build instead.
Unfortunately big (but younger) brother always gets priority https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Wheels finally here in Iceland. Always a bit stressed when buying something like this from a private party, is it a scam, etc. But... arrived just like advertised, looking spectacular (well at least the one box I opened to put next to the car).
As the eagle eyed of you can see this is exactly the right time to buy wheels given the state of the car but....
Think these will look awesome on the car once it is completed!

Awesome project, this thing will be an absolute weapon once done Could even be classified as the 'sensible thing' to do given the daft prices people are charging for S14s and associated parts nowadays!
Sensible is not a word I have heard used for this project before I like it!!!
But it is the most current NA, high rev, high power, attainable powerplant from BMW.
Will sound glorious and have 550+ hp.
