One point about the colour scheme, the yellow callipers don't look right and would probably work better in black/red/blue

dave
I'm sure the Swedish ladies would like them to stay yellow. hehe

Great looking paint job. Rattle cans, who'd have thunk it!

Thats cool! I loved the black aswell but couldn't justify spending out on a full respray to sort the little bits of bodywork i have done on it. Would have cost me over half what the cars worth for a semi decent job and wouldn't put any more real value back in the car so thought I may aswell have a bit of fun with it!

I get my black car fix looking after the misses car now!

clap

Not being fussy or anything but does that rear bumper where it meets the slower trim look a bit, well, tatty?

It is yes! The masking tape pulled it slightly just needs the edge redoing to look good easy fix!

Simply a stunning job, please go to the top of the class. thumbup

From body colour, wheel choice, single pipe exhaust to colour choice of badges and grille etc you couldn't have picked a more perfect combination, can't find fault with any part of it.

Would like to see this in the metal, it looks really smart and is a refreshing change to the majority of mk3s that I see. Will you be attending any VW shows with it this year?

Paint the current wheels anthracite, would look very nice. Would focus more on the paint colour and less on shiney wheels (still look great as they are though smile )

Was thinking anthracite or gloss black for the wheels, but thats a job for the summer!

Gave it a quick rinse off and got the roof polished today and took a few pics in the sunshine!

I have probably used about 11 cans of the blue in total, the finish isn't perfect but was never expecting it to be. Will probably give the whole car another coat in the summer when its nice and warm.

I am pretty pleased with the outcome still got some bits to tidy/sort out but its ready to use which is the main thing!!

I did the roof in matt black checkers when we went to the Ring a couple of years ago, looked quite cool!
