GOLD Rolls Royce Phantom

Gulzar,
Thanks for shamelessly sharing pics,(again).
Only just stumbled on this & never seen the Phantom despite being in same area & near where the Phantom was made.
Like another person said dont want to blow smoke up your backside. The additional gold actually kind of acceptable & goes in with the vinyl wrap (albeit if in ownership myself I wouldn't have chosen to differ from the original factory look in the first instance). At least the numberplates have been sorted.
I would love to be able top compliment you on the RRS. I am not a hater of these, however, the pipes fitted to yours mean I can't post anything remotely pleasant re that - sorry. My bog standard,(accepted as hated by many), X5 would probably hide in the corner of Churchill Square Multi storey if passing you RRS on the prom - such is personal boldness displayed.
I was going to ask if you have 3 Nipples - (another James Bond reference).
Hi bud - thanks for the comments! "acceptable" now theres a word lol. Do you live in Eastbourne by any chance? Thanks for shamelessly sharing pics,(again).

Who cleans your Phantom? Just wondered how delicate you need to be with all that gold.
I have a nice swirl scratch on the bonet thanks to a cheap carwash place in croyon - must have used a cheap very old hard napkin to wipe! lol. Just a nice soft cotton cloth, jet spray all you want and its fine!BAHN-STORMA said:

odear odear, ok your profile says you have a BENTLEY
lets see pics of that now.
Sure - completely standard (except for the silver lower grills and the *drum rolls* playboy plate! har har!! ) lets see pics of that now.
Looks like the Bentley is a little less standard now as well!
Its a pleasure to drive something unique and perhaps not to everyones taste - but then, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I sometimes push my trolly through the isles of tesco passing the most hideous 25stone women who look like they shouldve entered and won Britains Strongest Man 2009 with a small army of 4-5kids following them... Obviously she's made someone happy....or numerous people happy....divorce and infedility is all too common these days, but lets not go there! I personally am happy with how both cars have turned out, although ever more unpractical now to safely (and for me to remain relaxed) while parking on normal roads. Seems everyone wants to prod with fingernails or keys to see how is it gold!

I really like that. Somehow it seems to work (well, for me anyway!).
Just a shame the "B" does not stay the same way up when parked as it spoils the effect.
Thats an optional extra Bently recently sent a mailshot to me about - I was curious so enquired and the price was £700 per wheel! Crikey!Just a shame the "B" does not stay the same way up when parked as it spoils the effect.

I see these cars pretty much daily. He owns some land (i think) very near some that i have (not sure about the lions! ) and i've followed the roller across the 'marshes' a few times. It's def not to everyones taste and you'd better hope it's not sunny cos you'll need some sunglasses! mind you who wouldn't want a garage full of Bentleys and Rollers!
Yep we own the land around there and unfortunatly some of it is muddy marsh land lol. Hilarious driving a gold rolls royce phantom covered in mud and brown skidmarks down either side, love watching peoples faces of shock, disgust and curiosity lolOr888t said:
Just read the entire thread start to finish, brilliant.
You seem a totaly down to earth guy gulzar, i love that.
The Range Rover is properly hideous.
At 1st on the 1st page i though the phantom was awful and very tacky, but with the addition of the new gold plating, i'm actually now really finding my self liking it-alot.
I also really like what you've gone and done to your Bentley!
Anyword yet on if your going to do the RR's grill?
Would you do it in a lesser carat gold?
Surly the colour would be the same? ?
Edited for speeeling and gramorr
Harhar thanks bud! If you dont like the range rover.....wait till you hear it :PYou seem a totaly down to earth guy gulzar, i love that.

And I agree even when I look back at the first pictures it did look abit too much but then again why are rubbers on pencils! you dont get everything right first time! it looks alot more colour coordinated finish now the plating was definately worth it!
As the coating is so thin the coating of gold in terms of price isnt much difference and the worst thing you could do is have that cheap diluted argos gold look, so we went for the full pure 24 carrot gold and plenty (in some areas like on the bentley wheels and phantom handles) up to eight layers of lacquer!

Saw the Range Rover and the Rolls Royce last week, parked up near the seaside. The Rolls was filthy! Looked like it hadn't been washed in months - made me crack up with all that gold plated in road muck. Actually looks really nice in the flesh/metal, the crap (dirt, not gold) making the car look properly used, I always like a dirty motor.
The Range Rover errrr.. it made me laugh is all I can say
@ Gulzar, if you saw a vaguely chavy looking couple wearing bike gear wandering around your cars on Thurday, mostly giggling, that would be me and the missus!
I think I was told bud the buildings either side are ours and theres CCTV all around lol! I think my old man had taken it out on the farm and didnt give it a manicure/pedicure when he got back! Bentley shouldve been on that side road too somewhere.....do you visit this town much? PM me and im sure I can arrange a nice hotel stay for you and the missus if your ever around! The Range Rover errrr.. it made me laugh is all I can say

Next plan is to wrap the Bentley in Satin Black......and tinted windows, will be an monstrocity im sure :-)

i used to see that range every week nailing it down the roads! wheels etc are a bit ott, but the exhausts actually made a lavley sound! wheres your trading office?
Ha! The sound is suprisingly gorgeous to be honest even if I tried I doubt I could kill anyone since they'd hear me 3-4miles away before I was close lol No trading office as such, I do it from home! In my underpants!Fabric 2.2 said:

.... glad some of you guys like it but to be honest I miss the black! As they say....once you go black.............!!!!! lol. I already did the indictor surrounds/brake light surrounds in gold but along the sides the chrome around the windows I dont think it'll look good so I'll leave it as it is! Just waiting for the gold wheels then I'll put the white center caps on as a nice contrast and thats it for me 100% no more lol

Terrible weather......absolutely stting down with rain since god knows so havent been able to give it a wash/condition/blow dry yet and get some nice outdoor pics but heres what I have!
Please form an orderly que when flaming! lol
Wondering if anyone can help me.... they are special tyres called a PAX tyre and more specifically michilen PAX tyres which need special machinary to fit. I have 3 gold wheels on but cant fit the last one (rear left one) because the tyre needs to be put on the rim more properly and absolutely nobody I can find is able to do it! Does anyone know of a tyre fitting place who are able to fit PAX tyres to rims? The last resort would be the 80mile commute to North London Rolls Royce dealer which im trying to avoid as its a 10minute (if that!) job! Im based in East Sussex!

www.etyres.co.uk appear to be the only one listing anything about PAX Tyres (Google found that for me) and I've certainly seen one of their vans around Eastbourne - maybe worth a call: 0800 028 9000 - Worst they can say is no, take it to RR.
