Fair play for doing what you want but starting with a bland as is possible for a car to be vw passat then adding bling wheels and air bagging is seriously crap imo.
But then i'm more into how a car drives and you are obviously more into how "vw scene" it looks. Hope you enjoy it anyway.
For someone who doesn't really like VWs you do like commenting on them in various threads. But then i'm more into how a car drives and you are obviously more into how "vw scene" it looks. Hope you enjoy it anyway.
Far to many people don't like the Dub/ Stance scene, personaly I love it... can't bring myself to put the S3 on Air and combine with some Bentley or BBS LM's but I do really like the whole Air ride flush stuff.
I think people associate Air ride / Hydraulics with Max power and pink Novas of 10-15 years ago.... times are changed everything is more subtle and smart. Good work.

People on this forum have various types of cars and they enjoy them for various reasons, be it looks, performance, practicality. If you like the car and what they've done, comment and pat them on the back, but don't go round slagging off people's projects just cos it's not to your taste.
For me I love VWs, I have 3 kids so need a good sized car to ferry them about. I really like the shape of the Passat and think it looks good when modified properly. As well as being my daily drive, I want to enter it into various VW shows, hence what I'm doing to it.

An interesting thread. It looks like big dub's modifications have been done to a high standard and not bodged. It's not my cup of tea, far from it infact but I'm not about to say what he has done is wrong or pointless. The world and PH would be an awfully dull place if we all bought/drove/modified/enjoyed the same cars for the same reasons.

Where did you get the idea i dont like vw's? Because i think a diesel passat on 20s with hydraulics is crap? I like plenty of vw's thanks but a tdi passat and mk4 golf are the epitomy of boring motoring.
And i will continue to feel free to comment on any thread i fancy thank you very much.
Are you really such a vw fanboy you will not admit one is terrible even when it is so blatant? Is there really not a single vw you think is crap?

The wheels are 19" and it's on air, not hydraulics.
You're entitled to your opinion and you're obviously not a fan of the Passat. I'm not that bothered about performance, it's been revo'd to 170bhp and had a Pipercross air filter, but that's all it's getting, I want to keep the MPG as high as possible. I drive like Miss Daisy and rarely venture above 60mph on the motorway

Small update:
Wheel problems at the mo, but I won't go into it now, other than the MAE's are going and should be getting some 9.5x20 concave monoblocs
These problems and the fact that the bodyshop is moving location in a couple of months, have put a small spanner in the works, but we'll get there, just a bit longer than anticipated.
A few pics of progress.
