hello every one,

my name is lee and im a 22 year old electrician living in yeovil.

well after owning my car for over a year i thought its time to go big after the engine gave up on me frown

it started life as a j spec twin turbo supra with a few mods to take it up to around the 350 mark, so now i thought i would try and get as much power as i could for my budget!

the twins have been replaced for a single turbo, the auto gear box has been replaced with a boostlogic auto box and ive had a full engine rebuild. the target is 600 bhp.

the car is currently having all the work carried out, hoping she will be back in next week or 2

be good to meet a few members and go to a few meets.

the current spec is as follows

Rage 5 colour flip paint
18 inch chromes
20mm wheel spacers
full uk brake upgrade
GT4088 single turbo
boost logic auto drag box
3800 high stall torque converter
hks 264 cams
greddy emanage ultimate ecu
wiseco forged pistons
sard 800cc fuel injectors
LSD
hks fuel cut defencer
hks ssqv
moddified fuel rail for twin feed
2x walbro fuel pumps
gear box rad
7.5 inch fan for gear box rad
hks advanced timing pullys
gates racing cam belt
new toyota oil pump
new toyota water pump
all new engine bearings
all new engine gaskets
ARP head stud kit
polished rad pipe
polished intake manifold
3 core front mount intercooler
44mm tial waste gate
aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
blitz boost controller
custom intercooler pipes
custon down pipe
blitz 3 inch decat pipe
screamer pipe
cusco oil catch can
aem air to fuel ratio gauge
defi link controller with 60mm boost, 2xoil temp, oil pressure and EGT gaugues

I really like these mk4 Supra's and wouldnt mind one at some point when it is practical to do so. Im not particularly wild about the wheels but the rest of it looks great.

Absolutely shocking paint and wheels choice but I bet people won't be able to see it for long with the new engine build!

That turbo looks like it couldsuck in and mince anything smaller than a mid-size dog!

Is lag an issue at all?

each to there own, and in all fairness the only bits on the car that was like it when i bought it!! i personally like it, as it gives it a showy look

lag would of been a issue but with the boostlogic box ive had fitted, ive had a 3800 high stall torque converter installed so the clutch "slips" to 3800 revs so the turbo dosnt come off boost when full throttle smile

ive declaired every mod with adrian flux and its 1600 fully comp, which is what i was paying with another company before i started the engine work so very pleased

yea its not been cheap going single, so far the parts tally has just reached 16k, and the labour bill has just topped 3k!! but its all worth it!

before i decided to do the conversion i was looking at getting another car, funnily enough i did go look at a tvr tuscan (must be a paint thing) and when i started looking around the car at a traders, the bloke came out and basically laughed in my face making out i couldnt afford it so then i thought, right lets do this to mine and put people to shame!

loving the comment about big turbo attached to a small supra!! biggrin

Fair play, that is a massive turbo! hope you have a suitably sized Air filter/chain link fence to stop it eating everything you drive past? wink

Colour and wheels are a subjective matter, and a personal choice, so:

Very nice car, and £1600 comp insurance is remarkable considering the declaration and your age. Good for you!

I'd have told the TVR vendor straight to go fk himself if that's his attitude. I find little sypathy for these people finding themselves out of work with attitudes like that.
