That's a very nice E36 you have there, defies the chav image that these cars are unfortunately getting. Good work!

One of my best mates has one just like this (bit rough around the edges though) and I've got first shout on it when he comes to selling it.

You've got me looking at E36 Ms with the view to put BBS 328i sport wheels and standard wing mirrors on now!

Doesn't the 3.0 (pre-Evo) version have the standard wing mirrors?

early 3.0 M3`s have exactly the same mirrors as the later 3.2 evo.

My dad had one of these as a company car when I was 18 and he used to allow me to drive it under his supervision. Cracking car; Avus Blue same as the above but he had the Anthracite headlining and black half leather seats. Yours looks an absolute beauty.

Ahh ok. Wasn't sure, I've obviously been paying too much attention to rebadged 318s!

thats Montreal blue right?? Same as mine smile looks great when polished up! i have black interior though. Hides the dirt but christ is it hot in this weather!

what is the difference with the 'ci' brakes? Also do you think the powerflex stuff made much difference? I've just had a few of my bushes done with standard bushes (wishbones-rtabs) and it feels much better.

does the gruppe M change the sound/fuel consumption much?

Is it me or does this look better than an M3 of similar age?

Hi Graham.its Actually Avus blue.has so many difference depths to it in different lights.
The brakes made a slight difference as the disk diameter is larger,Gives a firmer feel i found to overall stopping power but that may of been down to just having all new parts as in discs, pads and fluid.
The bushes make a massive difference! out of all the mods i have done this would be the main one i recommend to anyone,i get slightly more road noise but the feel of the car is tightened up massively and felt 100% more stable, have had the bushes in a couple of years now and they are still solid.
puling out the air box for what i have now is also another mod i cant recommend highly enough, the sound is amazing under full toe but then silent even on half throttle and i like that.
fuel economy never really changed but the car felt more happy to pull and after around a week it felt a lot smoother too.
Pretty popular mods on the E36 scene.

doh... thought it looked quite light in some pictures!

i am tempted by the polybush kit and gruppe, just need to get a few bits sorted on it first.

Steering rack is apparently worn and im also getting mine de-spoilered at the start of next month.
