Very interesting motor!

I wonder if a bit more power could be coaxed out of it? Any idea what turbo it uses?

No idea but it has an over boost switch, that i was told not to press hehe

I would imagine its fairly easy to strap another turbo onto it as long as the injectors and FPR are up to the job

Get it on a rolling road with wideband, a manual boost controller and adjustable FPR, and turn it up biggrin

Nice car McLovin, I've just bought a 3 litre myself. I like the exterior colour, suits the car. The engine needs some love, glad to see you're going to attend to it smile

According to internet-land, the 2.0 V6 TB has 198bhp, does 0-62 in 7.0 seconds, and tops out at 148mph, which makes it faster than the 3.0 V6.

Probably because its around 100kg lighter...
Um, just to correct you there the V6 has 220bhp, does 0-60 in 6 point something and goes on to a top end of 155.

Edit: as it's a Phase 1 interior, it's not quite as nice as the later cars. If you're interested, I believe there is a guy on alfaowner.com selling the centre console and ancilliaries from a P2 car - big improvement.

Apparently a P2 to P1 interior retrofit is either impossible / so difficult as to be not worth it.

Be interested to see what kind of economy you get from it. I've been tempted to flog my Fiat Coupe for a V6 GTV for a while, but the dire fuel economy of the V6 for no performance improvement over the 20VT puts me off.

IIRC the wheels are from a 166?

They look really good on your GTV imo, maybe a spacer for the rear axle?

It's not bad, if im honest its no different to the Fiat coupe 20vt, although if you are looking for the same shove i think you will be disappointed.

If i'm brutally honest i'd stick with the Coupe, even thought the turbo is a rare GTV i'd rather have my Vinci Grey LE back. Sorry Alfa fans!

I have thought about spacing the rear however, i think the car needs something special like 17" speedline splits or something in 18"..... we'll see.

Saw it an instantly thought of the fiat turbo, except these were a 5 pot and not v6.. Would take this over the fiat also.

Yay, spent all of yesterday on the hard shoulder of the M4 after the alternator packed up, so its back to the garage to get a new one fitted then back to the other garage for the MOT.... i dont hold out much hope for this either, its going to be an expensive one frown

Well it's been fun, the noise this thing makes is so addictive!!

Its had a replacement altenator and has been fine ever since, i think the only fault has been the windscreed wiper blade fell off...

I've had my fun so its up for sale, well it will be when i can be arsed to put an advert up smile

I think I should stop looking at this thread in that case before I start having more project ideas.

About 6.5s to 60 for the 3.0 V6 GTV. Not long after this was taken, mine topped out at 153 on the GPS...
