Just read this thread in about 15 mins and even I'm annoyed, it must have done your head in considering it's a 17 year old thread and your kids have now graduated from Cambridge.
Don't joke hehe

E38 and E39 are awesome. Top work!

But the poor E34 project is rather depressing. It seems people have even given up making jokes about it.

Tell me about it, problem is I'm not really sure the solution is.

What's stopping you sending it elsewhere?

Finding someone who has intricate knowlage of the Biturbo's wiring and all the extra bits that Alpina spliced into a E34 535 to make it. Also, Phil is a mate who has always looked after me , and that makes removing it a very hard thing to do personally after all the work he's put in.

Love the V12 barge - great spec too with the Luxury Rear Seat Package.

Also loving the 'accidental' M5 smile

Alpina project; have you considered contacting Alpina directly? I haven't a clue what your issues are but Alpina are very receptive to technical enquiries and still retain B10 BiTurbo expertise. There is also a guy quite local to you/us who owned a BiTurbo for two years and overcame a couple of sticky issues to keep it running well.

The Alpina section of the m5board also has a massive amount of knowledge should you want to ask.

I also know a tiny amount compared to the other sources I've quoted; PM or e-mail if you like, I would like nothing more than to see your project tear through its first set of tyres.

The issues are not technical , not fact as far as I'm aware phil has all the knowlage to finish the project . The problem is finding someone else with the same knowlage who would take the project on

Sometimes a 'no-spark' can be traced to the clocks; weird but has happened.

We are waiting Vixpy. Or is this project in fact a family heirloom to be passed down to your great grand kids? hehe

Seriously, tasty project, love to see some progress / finished car soon (as I'm sure you would as well, but the rest of us are living vicariously!).

P.S. E38 is a good consolation prize. For now wink
