Nice to see a tidy one being used properly. I had a Tipo sedicivalvole for 5 years & there is definitely some Alfa magic in these old Fiats.

Wouldn't be the £999 Challenge without a fast Fiat or two. Here's my entry for 2010. See you there? smile

I love the Phase 1 Turbo, had a pink Horman one (that's how I bought it) a black anti-skid (ABS, who said that earlier?) and a Blue one with a knackered engine that got a Delta Hf 1.6 transplant and a front mounted intercooler.

Those wheels look excellent no wonder I didn't recognise them straight away. All the best for 2010. smile

Very nice. Looking fresh in the white.
Absolutely love the Mk1 Uno Turbo.
Wanted one of these so bad when I was 18, and still do!
My first car was an Uno 45S in Delphy Blue Metallic, great colour!

Hi Jai!

And this :

My three ex-turbos from my Fiat days.

Good to see the white-un has come on nice since I remember you getting it. Looks like a different car!

What a cracking little car! You really don't see many around these days.

IIRC, didn't somebody once drop a Maserati quad-turbo jobbie in one of these in the '90's?
It was the quad turbo from the EB110, but always looked like a photoshop to me. Google Images doesn't help for once...
wasnt it Hans from max power, and it was a PS as said
That's it! Dear me... that was early/mid 90's?

Love the Uno. Looks like you've done an amazing job with it and saved them from extinction for another few years.

Nice,

My second car was a white (dodgy flaking blow over a black original) E reg Turbo. Loved it. Had the boost wound up (internal boost controller) to 1.5 bar, cosworth intercooler, Integrale fuel pressure regulator, hybrid turbo, gas flowed head, shocks and lowering springs, 15 inch five spokes, scorpion exhaust etc etc..Friends used to call it the Millenium Falcon as it used to rattle, shake and break down but when on boost would rocket up the road. Less said about the courners the better though.

If I remember rightly I used to change on a regular basis clutch cables, exhaust manifolds and CV joints. Happy days!

I love these cars so much. During the 80's my dad had Stradas (not the 105/130's alas) and Regatas which were very unreliable but as he spent so much time at Shaw and Kilburn (fiat dealer in Hemel Hempstead) they used to often send him away in an Uno Turbo as a courtesy car.

They were awesome and a load of mates had them (mainly mark 2's) in the late 90's and early 2000s... some had serious engine work and were very fast. My favourite was an all white mark 1 though.

Absolutely love them. Anyone remember the Cann Durant ones? I recall there being a red one and a blue one.

On a slightly different note I was always a bit disappointed they didn't do anything spectacular with the MK1 and MK2 puntos. There were rumours of a 160BHP, LSD'd MK1 Punto Abarth (would have had by far the most powerful engine in it's class in '93) and of course there was the monster Puntograle.

I'm getting carried away now but it's a shame they've dropped the Abarth Punto now. I suppose it overshadowed by the abarth 500.

It was actually a Renault colour, but side by side, you wouldn't know the difference :P

Love these - had two E-reg graphite metallic Mk1 Turbos back when I was 18-20 but I always wanted a white one! Looks like you've done a cracking job restoring it, I keep getting tempted to get one myself. Know what everyone means about the clutch cables...

Booooooo! painting an Italian car in a French colour! People have woken up next to horses heads for less. wink

Considering there are seventeen different Broom yellows from 1971 to 2009 it's an easy mistake to make. My Coupe looked like BMW Dakar yellow before I got the T'cut and a mop to it. smile
