Excellent. I love Ka's. My gf has one, so does my sister. Great for chucking about town but still decent enough on a long journey. Will go on forever too.

A fantastic little car, i've had 3 of them.

1st. Bobby-basic Ka
2nd. Ka 3
3rd. SportKa

Most fun? My first one with tiny 13" wheels, 4-wheel drift ahoy! biggrin

Apparently Ford do still honour the rust warranty IF you've had the body inspections done, right up til the end of the ?? years. Worth bearing in mind.

The main areas to watch are around the petrol cap area (don't let water sit here for long periods!) and the sill area at the bottom corner of each door, nearest the rear of the car. Keep these areas clean and well protected and it will run for years. Good cars though and great fun to drive - when Ford were getting rid of the last remaining ones they were a total bargain (something like 4.5k OTR with 0 miles).

What does the writing in the rear window say on the Fiesta in the background (first pic)

"Hello Auntie Helen" ?

Oh & tidy motor biggrin

I love my Ka and end up driving it more than the big car. Its just so much fun.

Great example yours, I have an 02 plate in silver.

What sort of mpg do you get with a 2008 one ?

I bought a P-reg one for the then girlfriend in 2006 for under £700, 83k miles and it was a hoot.

Lol, took a fair bit of zooming for me to spot that even when you described where it was, good spot.

Looks shiny!

I love Kas too, I passed my test in my Mum's one - one of the first P plates ones with no PAS and my little sis now has an 05 plate Ka Collection in black which I use occasionally if I'm down at my parents place. In fact I drive it about 3 weeks ago and thought I'd actually quite like another one, they're so much fun to drive, and probably the most fun non-sport model small car made since the Mini.

Yes I often think of it as the modern Mini, not the new BMW MINI which just isn't like the old Mini at all.
Well as someone who has owned all 3 I feel well qualified to comment here!

I had an original Mini when I was 17 but spent most time driving my Mum's Ka as the Mini was constantly broken and too noisy/small/uncomfortable for long journeys. The Mini was more fun for a sunny day driving along country lanes, as long as it wasn't too sunny or it would overheat!

The new Mini is very different but I still loved mine. They're fantastic fun to drive and I think they're more fun than the Ka but then they're not really in the same class price-wise. Only the brakes which don't really stand up well to hard use let the car down really.

Glad to see other Ka owners on here too! got a rev counter on the style models? Thast the one thing I miss from my older endura engined one frown

Ive got a 2001 Collection as my first and current car, great little B road charger, sounds naughty with a pipercross induction kit.

Might have a bit of a girls image but like already mentioned, 4 wheel drifts! And no ABS models are a bit more lairy too wink

I'll never forget the time I got my then new Fiesta 'Finesse'(1.3 Pushrod, same chassis as the KA etc) airborne over a mahoosive crest somewhere in the North Yorks dales. Sideways. Had someone taken a photo, I'd have been properly perpendicular to the road and fully crossed up. How I landed it without rolling is a mystery, but by God could it be flicked about the place. I learnt how to control lift-off oversteer in that car.
