Papercup's V8 RX7
Discussion
Side skirts were original FEED carbon ones, but i busted one of them up, so got the replica ones (still carbon) from Atomic Rex. Having had both (and still have one of the FEED ones in the garage) I can tell you there's no difference at all.
Great service from Atomic Rex on those, by the way. Hardly knew me, yet made and delivered them from scratch in 4 days so they could be sent to the detailer on the last day it was there, for fitting.

Same car, Strong money...The link to him keeping someone's deposit says it all really.

Yep, I know what he paid or it and what he's asking is mental, I'm not parting with anywhere near that for a car with cold start issues and no A/C (its not just a re-gas)...

I seem to remember someone mentioning £15k which is sensible however that's irrelevant really, modified cars are worth what someone will pay.The link to him keeping someone's deposit says it all really.
Is more the fact he pretends he's not a dealer and has a terrible attitude.

The money seems steep but what a car!
Think I'd want to make some changes but it must be an unbelievable weapon.
I've been in this car, and Andy was kind (or foolish) enough to let me drive it once. I never came near its parameters on the road. It is, no argument all-ends-up awesome. And you couldn't build one anywhere near as good as that, even for this money. You could lash one together but Craig at DynoTorque's conversions are just about OEM quality and the fabrication alone would exceed the price of a knackered RX-7 and LS engine, then merging them together. But the seller is indeed a total arse and if you're paying a premium you'd really want that to count towards some kind of solid aftersales and/or decent reputation, not someone who's negative feedback runs to a gazillion forum pagesThink I'd want to make some changes but it must be an unbelievable weapon.
Shame really, cos it's a superb car and deserves better
For positive vibes, all I can do is offer a photo from happier times, taken at the '12 Speed Trials
Currently being sold on Ebay - read the ad you'll see the current owner oozes charm.

Would have preferred to buy it from Andy himself though. Things that strike me:
Would have preferred to buy it from Andy himself though. Things that strike me:
- You clearly could not build a car this good for £20k from scratch. However, I know from first hand experience that heavily modified cars are an extremely niche market - you'll get what a like-minded enthusiast is prepared to pay but forget about getting back what you put in.
- If the aircon only needs a regas on a car of this price, why not just do it? Seriously.
- This car is seriously tempting when you consider a Z06 will be the best part of £40k.
I've a vague notion of what I might part with for the spec, but I'd want to take a look over it and understand what else would need doing. If it's in as good condition as when it left Andy's hands I'd imagine its value to be something around the £15-16k mark but that is in no way a scientific appraisal! IT will o for what it will go for - without any basic issues (starting, A/C) I don't see why someone wouldn't pay that or even more. Only Andy (and possibly yourself, Craig) knows both what it owes him and what he took for it
Hi, didn't realise my car or me are popular for all the wrong reasons based on nothing other then assumptions based on non factual drivel.
I must say the 'tint-er-net' never fails to amuse me.
V8RX7 not quite sure what your issue is or why you feel so attached, a bit of friendly advice, step away from your keyboard occasionally and get some fresh air; believing everything you read and then choosing to post utter nonsense on a forum belittling me states a lot more about you then it does me.
Considering we have never met or spoken, I find it difficult how your self assumed position of moral high ground would lead you to such child like antics, please grow up. If you have something to ask or say I'm always happy to discuss in an formal manner, I'm not a fan of social media drivel; you mention charm which is quite ironic.
In regard to the car, I'm happy to answer any question.
It's not the same car it was when purchased, in fact it's now so much better.
I purchased this in a poor state of condition, having been neglected for a number of months by the previous owner for whatever reason.
I made an offer that was accepted (£15k+ for the curious amongst you), and have spent a small fortune on improving or rectifying issues that I wasn't made aware of when I purchased.
Please excuse my heart on the sleeve approach but that's just me, no offence or trouble intended.
